Frankincense Carterii Resin Infused Oil, 35% Boswellic Acids (BA) in Organic Jojoba Oil 

This "gentle" frankincense oil is infused with natural frankincense extract containing 35% boswellic acids (BA), particularly of the highly desirable AKBA variety.

Although this oil is made with high-BA boswellia carterii resin, it is gentle enough for use on the face and by those with extra sensitive skin. This one is even available in a handy - and super adorable - little roll-on bottle!

Is This Oil the Same as Frankincense Essential Oil?

Not at all!

They are quite different. Essentials oils represent only the smaller volatile compounds of a plant. If you are wanting the therapeutic benefits that specifically come from the boswellic acids unique to the Boswellia species, you can only get those from the resin. Boswellic acid molecules are too large to be captured by distillation. 

Here is more great news! I have added a little frankincense essential oil back in - so you are getting some of that same wonderful aromatherapy on top of the broader benefits boswellia has to offer.

Many people have experienced symptomatic relief from taking a boswellia supplement, but many don't know that you can derive the same benefits through the skin - transdermally.

One study compared the BA levels in the synovial fluid of the knee joints between two groups - one taking an oral BA supplement and the other applying a BA ointment. They found the two groups to be equal! More impressively, the groups experienced comparable benefits from the BA treatment, whether treatment was oral or transdermal.
