The Elusive Trombone

Who doesn’t love a trombone chain? This one is stunning I love the extra banded detailing to each trombone link and those juicy cable links in between. It has lovely hallmarks, stamped on every link, which is always a sign of a well made piece. Even the dog clip has a date stamp for 1887, making it 138 years old. This chain is a versatile piece, wear the dog clip at the back for one look, or to the front/side and add a charms for endless looks. It would look so good as part of a mixed metal neck stack. (I’m imagining either it as a top layer chain or add a gold extender for the ultimate mixed metal look)

This chain is in good condition considering its age. Some of the trombone links have slight wear to the ends, but this is extremely minor and not something I’d personally worry about, it has a lot of years left in it, I have reflected this in the cost. It has been cleaned and polished sympathetically to keep patina.
