Gaumen: A complicated palate where the initial nose would lead you to expect plump fruits, what you get is a surprisingly dry element. The palate fleshes out as the first impact of the nose fades. Adding water brings out the caramalised elements balanced with the wood elements expected of a 15 yr old.
Abgang: Firm and slightly dry.
Auf der Halbinsel Kintyre, genauer in Campbeltown, ist die Brennerei Glen Scotia ansässig. 1832 wurde die Brennerei von Steward, Galbraith & Co. unter dem Namen Scotia Distillery gegründet und hat seitdem eine ereignisreiche Geschichte hinter sich.
Mit seiner lebendigen Kulisse und der rauen Atlantikbrise hat dieser Küstenort etwas Magisches. „Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea, my desire is always to be here …“ Paul McCartney besingt den Wunsch, immer auf dieser Halbinsel zu bleiben.
