The APC Power Distribution Module is a rugged, rack-mounted power distribution solution designed to protect and manage critical IT equipment in data centers, server rooms, and network closets. Built to integrate seamlessly with APC and Schneider Electric power infrastructure, this PDM delivers reliable, configurable power distribution for servers, switches, storage devices, and other essential hardware. With sophisticated monitoring, outlet control, and a compact footprint, it helps data centers maximize uptime, optimize energy usage, and simplify rack-level administration. Whether you’re expanding a growing IT room or upgrading a mature data center, the APC Power Distribution Module is engineered to keep your workloads powered and your operations running smoothly.

  • Reliability for critical equipment: The APC Power Distribution Module is designed to provide consistent, clean power distribution to essential IT gear. Its robust construction and thoughtful internal layout help minimize voltage drop and improve uptime, so servers, routers, and storage systems stay online even during routine maintenance or unexpected load changes. This reliability translates into fewer interruptions, reduced risk of data loss, and a smoother path to service-level agreement (SLA) compliance for data-intensive applications.
  • Flexible outlet configuration and scalability: The PDM accommodates a variety of outlet configurations to suit diverse data-center layouts and equipment footprints. By supporting configurable outlets and modular design principles, it allows you to tailor power distribution to your unique rack and workload needs. As your infrastructure evolves, you can reconfigure or expand without replacing the entire unit, helping you achieve longer asset life and better total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Advanced monitoring and remote management: This APC module is built with monitoring capabilities that enable visibility into power quality, load, and outlet status. Integrated monitoring supports proactive management, alerting you to overdrawn circuits or equipment faults before they impact uptime. When connected to APC management software or compatible network interfaces, you gain remote control of outlets, real-time analytics, and centralized power-management policies—empowering efficient energy use and rapid issue troubleshooting across multiple racks.
  • Easy installation and rack integration: Engineered for straightforward deployment, the Power Distribution Module threads into standard rack environments with minimal downtime. Its compact form factor and clean cable management options help data-center technicians install swiftly, route power cables neatly, and preserve airflow. The intuitive layout reduces the learning curve for new staff and simplifies ongoing maintenance, so IT teams can focus on delivering consistent, reliable services to end users.
  • Warranty, support, and ecosystem compatibility: APC products are backed by a trusted support network and a warranty that reflects the brand’s commitment to reliability. The Power Distribution Module is designed to work in harmony with APC UPS systems and Schneider Electric’s broader power-management ecosystem, enabling seamless integration with existing infrastructure, asset tracking, and service continuity planning. This compatibility translates into easier procurement, standardized maintenance, and a coherent approach to protecting critical IT environments.

Technical Details of APC Power Distribution Module

How to install APC Power Distribution Module

  • Power down and unplug all equipment you plan to connect to the PDM, and disconnect any existing power distribution from the rack where you will install the unit.
  • Mount the Power Distribution Module securely into the rack using the appropriate rails or mounting hardware designed for standard 19-inch racks. Ensure there is adequate clearance for ventilation and cable routing.
  • Connect the input power source to the PDM from your UPS, breaker panel, or appropriate power source. Verify that the input voltage and amperage meet the device’s compatibility requirements.
  • Route power cables neatly and connect each outlet to the equipment you wish to power. Use cable management features to keep cables organized and minimize airflow obstruction.
  • Power on the PDM and verify that outlets are delivering power to connected devices. If remote monitoring is available, configure the network interface or management card, assign IP addresses if applicable, and set up alerts and load thresholds to align with your data-center policies.

My first experience with a Robot vacuum
Color: White
I am liking this robot vacuum. It is very easy to program and can be done from your phone. It has mapping capabilities which helps with learning the room. The remote is easy to use too. It picks up most dust particles and pet fur from rugs and bare floors. It has a wet floor mopping pad which is so helpful. Surprisingly it picks up more than you think. The dust cup holds quite a bit before you have to empty it. The little side brushes help with collecting the particles. It can go under some furniture and along the walls. You have several floor patterns that it can be programmed for. It is very quiet too. Recharging doesn’t take long either. It can even be programmed to vacuum while you are away. Instructions are downloaded through the app. My cats are very curious about how it moves about the rooms. So much fun to watch them. I really got a great bargain for this robot vacuum on Amazon. (I found that if you have clutter on the floors or cords under furniture you should remove and secure them before vacuuming.) It will find a way to go from floor to area rugs once it maps out the area. I am still learning the functions in the app👍🏾👍🏾😃

Piece of junk
Color: White
So many problems with this device. I have a one bedroom apartment with one bathroom and no carpet so it's all hardwood floor. You would think this device would be able to vacuum the entire place without problems right? I think it intentionally looks for places to get stuck. For instance I have electrical plugs underneath my desk pushed against the wall, and somehow it managed to get stuck in them. So I had to block that area with a box. Then it got stuck going over my bath mats. So when I vacuum I have to put them into the shower. Then somehow it managed to get stuck in a little area by the island in my kitchen. So I had to put a roll of paper towels there so it wouldn't go into that area. Then it got stuck under the wheels of my desk chair. So I had to block that area. One night, even though there's a big table on the side of my couch to block it, it figured out a way to get behind my couch and then stopped. It took me two days to find it. And that's the other thing. it doesn't have enough power to clean an entire one bedroom apartment. So even if it doesn't get stuck, I will find it in the middle of the floor with the battery drained. When I watched it I noticed that it will bang something and then it'll keep banging it a few times before moving on. And by moving on I mean it'll move 6 in and bang there a few times before moving on again. That's probably how it got stuck under the island. It couldn't fit the first time, so it kept pushing until finally it got jammed in there. I must say, however, it is amusing when it bangs into my foot and doesn't give up and tries to climb over my foot. So although I bought this thing the end of November, I was in the hospital and wasn't able to start using it until the third week in January. After a couple of weeks I wanted to return it, but unfortunately I can't, because the window to return it ended January 31st.

Not too shabby
Color: White
I was skeptical but I read the reviews before purchasing. I had a $500 Roomba previously that worked six months then died. Using the warranty on those is almost impossible. So I took a chance. Cons: will fling itself down ledges and stairs. Like any robot cleaner, hates cords and plastic bags. Gets stuck now and then. You need to rinse out dust filter each time. Pros: runs a LONG time. Picks up all the dust and hair my Roomba did. Much cheaper. Has an app that you can supposedly program. Not too noisy. Beeps if it needs help. Charges well. Cats dig it. All in all I would buy one again. Robot vacuums are not for grime, they are for dust, hair, bits of cat litter. Keep that in mind. But in keeping your floor free of cords and debris that might trip it up, it helps you to be tidier overall.
