The Monnit ALTA Wireless Light Meter is a compact, commercial-grade illuminance sensor designed to simplify indoor light monitoring for museums, galleries, archives, offices, and other light-sensitive environments. Powered by commercial AA batteries, this discreet device delivers precise lux readings from 0 to 83,000 lux in indoor spaces, helping preserve artwork, textiles, and exhibits while ensuring optimal visitor illumination. Its wireless capability connects to Monnit gateways and the cloud, enabling real-time monitoring, historical data, and proactive alerts without the complexity of hard-wired systems. For facilities managers, this means accurate, scalable lighting oversight that fits the pace of modern operations—with minimal maintenance and no heavy electrical work. The ALTA Light Meter makes it straightforward to verify lighting uniformity, track changes over time, and implement data-driven lighting strategies that balance preservation needs with energy efficiency. In a busy gallery or museum, where lighting can influence both the integrity of sensitive items and the visitor experience, having dependable, easy-to-deploy sensors is a strategic advantage. This device is designed to integrate with Monnit’s secure cloud platform, empowering your team with a single, centralized view of multiple sensors across spaces, floors, or campuses. Experience reliable indoor lux monitoring that turns lighting management from guesswork into verifiable, actionable insight.

  • Precise lux measurement for indoor lighting — The ALTA Wireless Light Meter delivers accurate illuminance readings in lux across an indoor range from 0 up to 83,000 lux. Designed with interior spaces in mind, it captures the light levels that affect artwork, textiles, and display environments. By providing stable, repeatable readings, it helps facilities teams validate lighting layouts, verify color rendering, and ensure consistent exposure for sensitive assets. The data can be logged with timestamps, enabling you to analyze lighting patterns over hours, days, or weeks and make informed decisions about display lighting, daylight harvesting, and exhibit sequencing. This level of precision is essential for maintaining exhibit integrity and creating an optimal viewing experience for visitors, while also supporting compliance with curatorial or conservation guidelines that specify permissible light levels.
  • Wireless and scalable monitoring across facilities — The ALTA sensor communicates wirelessly with Monnit gateways and the cloud, allowing you to deploy multiple meters across large spaces without running new wiring. This makes it ideal for campuses, long corridors, galleries with multiple rooms, and museums with evolving floor plans. With a centralized Monnit portal, you can monitor all deployed meters from a single interface, set up site hierarchies, and compare readings across rooms or zones. The scalable design means you can start with a few meters in high-priority areas and expand as your monitoring needs grow, maintaining consistent data collection and visibility across your operation.
  • Configurable data collection and alerts — You control how often readings are collected, from frequent intervals to longer-term sampling, to balance data granularity with battery life. The system supports customizable alert thresholds so you’re notified if lux levels drift outside your defined range, enabling proactive adjustments to preserve exhibits or maintain consistent ambiance. Notifications can be delivered through the Monnit portal, and depending on your setup, you can route alerts to relevant staff members or building-management workflows. This capability helps you maintain curatorial standards, protect priceless items, and respond quickly to any unexpected lighting changes.
  • Reliable power and simple maintenance — The ALTA Light Meter is powered by commercial AA batteries, designed for straightforward replacement without specialized tools. This battery-powered approach minimizes wiring and simplifies installation, reducing downtime during deployment or relocation. With easy access to replaceable batteries, you can keep the sensor operational with minimal maintenance, ensuring continuous data collection and uninterrupted monitoring over extended periods. The straightforward power design is particularly advantageous in retrofit projects or historic spaces where wiring upgrades are impractical or undesirable.
  • Flexible installation and seamless integration — The sensor’s compact form factor fits discreetly on shelves, inside display cases, or mounted to walls near exhibits. Its zero-wuss integration with Monnit’s cloud platform means you can combine light data with other sensor streams (temperature, humidity, occupancy) for a holistic view of environmental conditions. The installation process is designed to be quick and non-disruptive, so curatorial staff and facilities teams can set up monitoring in hours rather than days. With robust data collaboration, you can align lighting strategies with conservation best practices while maintaining an engaging, well-lit environment for visitors.

Mount the sensor in your preferred location—on a wall, shelf, or within a display case—using the provided mounting hardware or alternative approved mounting methods. Power on the device and allow it to initialize. Next, pair the meter with a Monnit Gateway according to your organization’s typical setup: ensure the gateway is online, add the new sensor within the Monnit Portal, and assign it to the correct location or zone. Finally, configure your data-collection preferences in the portal, including the sampling frequency, duration of readings, and alert thresholds. After setup, monitor live readings in the dashboard, verify data integrity, and confirm that alerts are delivered as intended. If needed, adjust sensor placement to minimize interference from nearby lighting fixtures and maximize the representativeness of the measured lux levels.

Not your regular under eye patches
Im in love with these under eye patches. These are not your regular under eye patches. My eyes look refreshed and hydrated. I often keep them on all day and i love the tightening effect after they dry down. My under eye feels firmer and looks plumper. Sometimes i will even wear them overnight. They are very cooling. I love that they are clear so not very visible on zoom meetings. For all that it does, it is definitely worth the hype and the price.

Provides cooling to tired eyes
These patches feel really good under your eyes. They are cooling, reduces puffiness, reduces discoloring and bags under the eyes. The only issue I have is not staying under the eye very well. Other than that they moisturize quite well and they are effective. The scent is very subtle so not to irritate your eyes. I use this line of products so I would definitely recommend

I thought this was a cream it is actually patches. They adhere well and are great while sleeping. I noticed a reduction and wrinkles around my eyes after the first night. There was a generous supply of product on the patches and are worth the money.

One of My Favorite Multi-Use Patches — Great for Under Eyes and Smile Lines
At 52, post-menopausal, with dry, mature skin, I’m always looking for products that help with the areas that tend to show age first—especially the under-eyes and around the mouth. Those areas can lose firmness, show fine lines, and look more tired faster than the rest of the face. These patches have become one of my favorite targeted treatments. First, I love how easy they are to use. The patches are well saturated, comfortable on the skin, and stay in place nicely once applied. That alone matters because so many eye patches slide around and become more annoying than helpful. These feel secure and simple to wear while getting ready or relaxing. What I noticed most under the eyes was that the area looked more hydrated, smoother, and fresher after use. Puffiness looked reduced, fine dehydration lines were softened, and the skin had a more rested appearance. No, they are not going to permanently erase aging overnight, but they absolutely help the area look better. I also appreciate that they do more than just add temporary moisture. With regular use, the under-eye area looks better maintained and less tired overall. Another reason I love these is that I also use them on my smile lines / nasolabial area. That has been a great bonus. The curved shape works surprisingly well for placing around the mouth, and the extra hydration helps soften lines and improve the look of that area too. That multi-use flexibility makes the product much more valuable to me than standard eye patches. The formula feels cooling and refreshing, and I like using them before makeup or before going out when I want my skin to look a little smoother and more awake. I also appreciate the ingredient direction. Dr. Melaxin tends to focus on firmness, support, and mature-skin concerns rather than trendy fluff, and that’s one reason I keep coming back to the brand. Who I think these are great for: mature skin, dry under-eyes, puffiness, fine lines, smile lines, travel days, special-event prep, or anyone wanting targeted treatment patches. Who may want to skip them: people expecting permanent wrinkle removal, anyone who dislikes patch-style skincare, or those wanting the cheapest basic eye patch option. Value-wise, I think these are excellent because you can use them in more than one area and actually see a visible cosmetic benefit. I’ve used many patches over the years, and these are among the better ones.
