Welcome to the Provide First Aid in an education & care setting Verification of Competency (VOC) Training. This course will give you an understanding, skills and knowledge of all persons who may be required to provide CPR, or apply first aid, in a range of educational and care situations, including community and workplace settings.

Features of this refresher training include:

- Download a VOC Certificate of Completion on successful completion

- A Digital Wallet ID VOC Card is also issued on successful completion (see John Citizen Sample)

- Verification of competency by our RTO partner, AlertForce RTO Code 91826.

2. You must upload a previously issued with a Statement of Attainment (or wallet card) by an RTO less than 3 years ago or be able to present a CV that demonstrates industry currency.

NOTE: this training is suitable as refresher if you have previously obtained a Unit of Competency in any of these qualifications:

  1. HLTAID004 Provide Emergency First Aid Response in an education & care setting OR
  2. HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education & care setting

This training addresses the theoretical component of Apply First Aid. It does not test you with the practical skills required to Applying First Aid and as such is only applicable for refresher training not initial first aid training.

All operations to which this course applies are subject to stringent Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements, which may be imposed through State or Federal legislation, and these must not be compromised at any time.

Where there is an apparent conflict between performance criteria and OHS / WHS / HSE requirements, the HSE requirements take precedence.

This course will provide you with information about:

1 Respond to an emergency situation

2 Apply appropriate first aid procedures.

3 Communicate details of the incident.

    4 Review the incident

This course has been reviewed by a recognised subject matter expert.

It has been designed to comply with best practice national health and safety standards. Terminology has been chosen for clarity and ease of comprehension across jurisdictions. For example, ‘employer’ has been used to signify the broader term ‘PCBU’, while ‘WHS’ represents both work and occupational health and safety.

ALTHOUGH BASED ON THE ELEMENTS, THIS IS NOT A NATIONALLY RECOGNISED COURSE. THIS VOC COURSE CAN ONLY TO BE USED FOR REFRESHER PURPOSES IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY ACHIEVED A STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT.

Note: Whilst a Statement of Attainments do not expire, different worksites have different policies and requirements of what refresher training should be and what is acceptable. Queensland sites, for example, typically want face to face only. You should check if you are unsure as there are no refunds available once you have downloaded certificates. This refresher course is a Verification of Competency undertaken by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code 91826).

If you have not previously done this course, to be deemed competent, you must complete an in-person training session an accredited trainer with a registered training organisation.

What is Apply First Aid in an Education & Care Setting? Theoretical component of the competencies

2.6. Operate first aid equipment according to manufacturers’ instruct io ns.

2.7. Monitor the casualty’s condition and respond in accordance with first aid principles.

3.3. Maintain privacy and confidentiality of information in line with statutory or organisational policies.

3.4. Maintain privacy and confidentiality of information in line with statutory or organisational policies.

4.1. Recognise the possible psychological impacts on self and other rescuers and seek help when required.

4.2. Contribute to a review of the first aid response as required.

You are required to download the course materials and review. You will then be asked a series of questions to verify your competency as part of your assessment. They must be successfully completed to complete the course.

A Certificate of Completion is issued on successful completion of the course and you are required to get an 80% pass mark to be deemed as understanding the content. It is recommended that training is conducted every 2 years to stay refreshed.

25 lb hanger doesn’t hold my Echo trimmer
Size: 4" - Red, Style: Open Hooks, Size: 4" - Red, Style: Open Hooks
Purchased the holders for my Echo trimmer and hedger but the tines are not long enough to hold the Echos. A picture in the description shows a gas powered unit hanging which is why I bought the hangers. Buy the larger 45 lb hanger for trimmers. Nice hook but I’ll probably send them back if i can’t find a use for them soon.

I use an ocean container for storage and have some things that need to be hanging. These are perfect for any place you are unable to drive nails. I bought the stronger ones and have had no problems. Ordered more after trying them.
