Introduction
The cold-side intercooler charge pipe kit replaces the factory plastic charge pipe on the 2008–2010 Ford F-250 and F-350 6.4L Powerstroke. The OEM pipe restricts airflow and cracks under sustained boost pressure. This kit uses mandrel-bent aluminum tubing, 4-ply silicone couplers and heavy-duty spring clamps to improve airflow efficiency and eliminate a known failure point between the intercooler outlet and throttle body inlet.
What Does a Cold-Side Intercooler Pipe Do?
The cold-side charge pipe carries cooled, compressed air from the intercooler outlet to the throttle body inlet. Maintaining full bore diameter through this section reduces pressure drop, lowers EGTs and improves throttle response — particularly under towing or high-load conditions.
