The Tom & Will 46 series double bass bags have been designed from the bass upwards and we think we now have the ultimate in protection whilst remaining lightweight, practical and economical. Special features include our RCS handles, all-around single zip easy opening, heavy duty oversized Tom & Will zips throughout, high density padding, two front lined pockets, padded bow pocket, hideaway backpack and shoulder strap carrying system with side pads and more!
Additional features
Our 46 series double bass bags feature the best quality high density padding, fabric, clasps, fastenings and zips. In short this bag is the best. We have added a internal protecting pad where the bridge will sit to stop rosin and wear from damaging the lining of the bag.
The all-around full length zip opening is easy to use and durable.
Long-lasting and reliable straps
All our straps and handles are riveted as well as cross stitched with high tensile threads - we have invested considerable time and effort to make sure that our handles and straps are not just comfortable, but long lasting as well. Each handle has six rivets, three at each end with a rigid inner core and stitched toughened polyester supporting handle covers.
Versatile backpack carrying system
The backpack carrying system is designed for comfort and practicality – the straps can be completely hidden behind the breathable back pad when not in use. Adjusting the length of the backpack straps is quick and easy with our free gliding pull straps. Do watch walking through doorways however as your bass and bag will be taller than you and most door frames!
For extra comfort we have added a padded lumbar support which also serves to hideaway the side pads when not in use.
Suitable for most 3/4 size double bases
The Tom & Will 3/4 three quarter double bass bags should fit most common size double basses with dimensions of about 178cm x 49cm x 65cm (overall length x upper bout x lower bout). Measurements are taken as follows: Full length of instrument from scroll to bottom of body excluding spike x widest point at upper bout or shoulders x widest point at lower bout or hips.The bag is designed with a round gap for the bass spike to protrude out of the bag.
