Several Shades Of The Same Color is Patricia's first album for Spectral Sound - produced in conjunction with his own label Active Cultures. Solo project of Max Ravitz who is also in Inhalants (with Jahiliyya Fields), Masks (with Arp), Patreke (with Terekke), and Pulpo (with Bookworms), among many other projects. Tips for listeners: consider the moment in which you exist; pay attention to how these sounds evoke physiological (rather than cognitive) responses. Listeners may find themselves deriving immense physical pleasure from exposure to these sounds. Inability to achieve such pleasure is likely attributable to over-analysis of the aforementioned audio content - or to improper amplification. Each of Shades' three LPs features suites of tracks that, considered alone, comprise their own distinct, unique worlds. Part 2's "The Electric Eye is Upon Me" swirls endlessly, while "Shiba Inu Dub" is cut for the floor and coy as it's namesake. Any emotional associations incurred while listening come at the listener's discretion. Furthermore, the identity of the author and/or their passions regarding the recordings herein shall bear no weight on the listener's experience. This body of work is not intended to generate ideas; rather, it's goal is to produce physical sensations in the listener. Taken altogether, Several Shades Of The Same Color is kaleidoscopic, a multi-faceted techno trip. Listen in full, or listen in part. GREAT way to view TV
On initial set up and use of just few days I love this little light bar
I'm 74 and I set this up in less than 10 min. Playing with Govee App took about same time for basic functions.
The backlighting is great and now my room is lighted during night when I sleepwalk to bathroom.
I'll decide later if I want to use adhesive pads. Currently it just sits on TV stand behind TV.
All in all it's great! I would definitely buy again and highly recommend.
Colors in photos are actually less bright in my room. The Govee App allows many many color variations. Just set up and create color palate for favorite colors and patterns. Eezee Peezee

Outstanding TV backlight edition

This is an excellent addition to a TV backlight. If you go into the GOVEE app you can sync this device to a TV backlight with a camera. You can add up to five lights.
I recommend this for either a TV backlight or general ambience in the room at night.
UPDATE 2025: I actually have 4 of these.
3 of them I synced with the TV strip light/camera using the GOVEE app for TV watching.
The 4th one I use is on ambience lamp.
These are made very durable/easy to set up. These things are not cheaply made

Look nice and were an easy setup.

Simple and do what they are supposed to do. I use them to add a bit of flare to my desktop setup for online meetings, etc. If I had to nitpick, I'd say cabling is always interesting to route to reduce desk clutter, but I am not going to remove a star for what pretty much has to be. They look nice too.

Good, but missing white (ww) hues hurt performance

I bought these lights just a little over a year ago, and overall I’m pleased with them. I bought them because standard strip lighting does not work well with the shape of my ultra flat TV, something I did not consider on purchasing the TV.
The lighting effects that these can produce are really impressive, at times you can see what appears to be the individual LEDs and the effects are somewhat more granular or pixelated than other lights from GOVEE.
The issue I have with these lights is that they are not able to produce cool, white and warm white, and they do not render colors like other bulbs from GOVEE. Colors on these lights tend to be brighter than every other light source I have from Govee, including their lightbulbs and their floor lamps. Although I knew about the white rendering, I did not realize how annoying it would be to see warm, white and cool, white rendered poorly on these TV lights. If you want to truly seamless and integrated looking product, I suggest you look elsewhere as these aren’t quite there. If you don’t care or are using these in a room where you don’t have any other light sources from Govee, then go for it — you’ll love them.
