The Vertiv Liebert SN-TH Modular Sensor (SN-TH) is a temperature and humidity sensor with two probes, designed for flexible, scalable rack and network closet environmental monitoring. Its modular architecture enables precise, targeted readings while preserving clean cabling and simple maintenance. With two external probes and separate cables, the SN-TH delivers comprehensive ambient data across critical zones inside a rack or along a row of cabinets, helping data centers and network closets maintain optimal conditions, protect equipment, and improve energy efficiency. This sensor is engineered to integrate seamlessly into Vertiv’s Liebert environmental monitoring ecosystem, supporting scalable deployments as you add more cabinets, more zones, or more complex airflow strategies. From server rooms to edge deployments, the SN-TH provides robust, real-time visibility into the conditions that influence reliability, performance, and uptime. Its modular, field-friendly design ensures you can adapt quickly to changing rack configurations, preserve airflow, and minimize the risk of environmental drifts that can compromise hardware longevity.

  • Flexible two-probe sensing with separate, detachable cables provides true ambient coverage inside racks and network closets. Place one probe near hot spots such as server intake zones and the other in cooler rear cabinet spaces to capture accurate temperature and humidity profiles. The dual-probe approach reduces blind spots, improves alarm accuracy, and supports more precise cooling or dehumidification strategies. The SN-TH is ideal for dense blade enclosures, high-density server stacks, and storage arrays where even small shifts in humidity or heat can impact hardware reliability. With a modular string design, technicians can reconfigure probe placement without replacing the entire sensor, enabling rapid adaptations as rack configurations change over time. This capability is particularly valuable during equipment refreshes, cabinet relocations, or hot aisle/cold aisle rebalancing projects, where flexible sensing directly informs cooling setpoints and airflow optimization.
  • Modular design for easy maintenance and upgrade. Because the SN-TH separates sensors and cables, individual probes can be replaced or upgraded without affecting the rest of the system. This reduces maintenance downtime and lowers total cost of ownership, as you can extend the lifespan of your environmental monitoring by swapping in newer probe technology or extending reach with longer cables. The modular approach also simplifies installation in crowded data centers, where space is at a premium and cable management is critical to maintain airflow and minimize obstruction of airflow paths. In addition, the SN-TH supports scalable monitoring by adding more probes to cover additional zones as rack fleets expand. The result is a future-proof solution that grows with your data center, while keeping ongoing operational complexity manageable and predictable.
  • Custom string capability supports scalable, multi-zone rack monitoring. You can configure a single SN-TH module to monitor multiple temperature and humidity points across a row of cabinets or within a single large enclosure. The custom string feature helps you implement zone-based alerts and thresholds, so operators receive precise notifications when environmental conditions drift outside defined ranges. This is especially beneficial for data centers that deploy hot aisle/cold aisle configurations, multi-rack deployments, or micro-data centers where compact footprints demand granular visibility. The result is a more efficient cooling strategy, better energy management, and a proactive approach to preventing component degradation due to humidity or heat stress. With the ability to segment zones, facilities teams can tailor alert priority and response workflows, reducing nuisance alarms and improving response times during critical events.
  • Rack-level environmental monitoring with integrated alerts and analytics. The SN-TH integrates with Vertiv Liebert monitoring platforms to deliver real-time readings, trend analysis, and alerting for temperature and humidity. It supports alarm thresholds, historical data logging, and alarm escalation to on-site staff or remote monitoring services. By establishing a baseline and tracking fluctuations, operators can optimize fan speeds, cooling setpoints, and dehumidification activity to maintain equipment within ideal environmental envelopes. The two-probe configuration also supports differential measurements, enabling more nuanced insights into localized heat and moisture patterns that could indicate airflow blockages or equipment inefficiencies. This information empowers data center teams to implement targeted interventions, validate cooling investments, and maintain service levels for mission-critical workloads.
  • Rugged, compact construction tailored for data center environments. The SN-TH is built to withstand the rigors of 24/7 operation inside racks and network closets. Its compact form factor and compatible mounting options simplify integration into existing infrastructure without compromising airflow. The sturdy probes and high-quality cabling are designed to minimize signal loss and ensure reliable readings even in cluttered cable management scenarios. By providing reliable, continuous environmental data every minute, the SN-TH helps IT teams and facilities managers protect sensitive equipment, extend hardware life, and sustain service levels for critical workloads. The modular design also reduces downtime during upgrades or relocations, since only the affected probes need replacement, and there is no need to dismantle the entire monitoring arrangement.

How to install Vertiv Liebert SN-TH Modular Sensor

Install the SN-TH with a focus on precise probe placement and clean integration into your Liebert monitoring ecosystem. Start by confirming compatibility with your existing Liebert monitoring controller or SN-TH base unit. Prepare the rack area by identifying hot spots and cooler zones, such as front intake regions and rear supply spaces, to guide probe placement. Mount the SN-TH module securely in a convenient location using the provided hardware, ensuring the base remains accessible for diagnostics and future maintenance. Route the two probe cables carefully to their designated positions, avoiding tight bends and interference with airflow paths that could skew readings. Connect each probe to its corresponding port or connector on the SN-TH base, following the manufacturer’s wiring guidance to prevent cross-connection or signal loss. Configure the monitoring software to recognize the SN-TH, assign each probe to its intended zone, and set appropriate thresholds that align with your data center’s environmental targets. After configuration, perform a validation pass by capturing baseline readings, verifying that alerts trigger at the correct thresholds, and confirming that data is logged accurately over time. Maintain an ongoing routine: inspect cables and probes for wear, recalibrate thresholds as rack configurations evolve, and update firmware or software when new features are released. Proper installation ensures reliable data, faster anomaly detection, and a smoother path to optimized cooling and humidity control across your infrastructure.

it's a utility screen
Color: Black, Size: 3-Panel
It's a basic, utilitarian screen. It's what I expected it to be. Assembly isn't hard, but it does require two people when stretching the fabric between the poles. I got it to use in a closet to separate the water heater from the washer/dryer, so it'll be perfect for that. Pros: it's opaque and tall (my 6'4" husband can't see over it unless he is standing against it) and I like the ability for the three pieces to stand separately of each other. Cons: it's flimsy. It wobbles and will tip over easily.

Great for the price
The item is great bit I wish it were a bit more sturdy and it folded flat. It folds into a square so it does take up some room when it's not in use.

Cheap, screw holes don't line up, screen is to short, and bars take WD-40 and a mallet
This has been my worst purchase on Amazon ever. DO NOT BUY. My first issue was that bars #4 and #5 would not go together, I ended up buying WD-40 and a mallet and that kind of got them together. Now I went to but the screen on (which is almost see thought) and the screen is to short. I can't attached the bottom bar to the tall bar. The screw hole is in the wrong spot, so the screen is not secure. No amount of pulling on the screen will make it grown .25" longer. Since I can't get the bars secure the walls are not steady and fall over easily. The feet did go together very nice. I can't return them according to Amazons policy. I bought 2 sets. I'm not going to try to build the other set I have. And I can't take apart the first set, since the bars are so tightly together. Also the polls have rust on them.

Very Poor Built Quality
Color: Black, Size: 3-Panel
They use cheap tarp like cloth that you might find on a tent, so it is not suitable as a teleconferencing background without blur applied. The legs are flimsy and lack rubber feet, so it will scratch floors. The tubing is flimsy and very hard to move and adjust. This is only good if you are setting it up somewhere like a gym or a garage.
