Tunic

The tunic is marked size 18 inside the pocket flap, representing a sizing of 6ft 1 height, 43-44" chest and 38-39" waist.  The label clearly confirms this is 1940 Pattern, being dated 1943.  There are signs of period tailors alterations at the collar, which has been resewn to incorporate lapels, as Officer's worn the 40 pattern with the collar open and a shirt and tie beneath.

Light mothing in one spot (pictured).  Three buttons (two on the shoulders and one on the cuff) have been replaced with revolving centre pin buttons, as seen on the denim BDs. Slight wear towards the bottom of the vertical hem, near the bottom but one button (pictured).

The tunic is furnished with;

1. Red backed Lieutenant Colonel pips, the red backing denoting infantry.

2. Printed World War Two period South Wales Borderers cloth shoulder titles.

3. A single infantry arm of service strip.

4. XXIV flashes, these were a post-war Territorial embelishment, being a nod to the units history as the 24th Regiment of Foot.

5. A two war ribbon rack.

6. An Observer's brevet, thickly padded.

The combination of medals and Observer brevet is unusual.  Whilst the tunic is not named, the most obvious reason for this combination is that the recipient was an aerial observer attached to an RAF unit.  The Atlantic Star could have been awarded if he had carried out aerial observation during the Battle of the Atlantic.

Measured by hand as follows;

Chest - 24"

Shoulder seam to cuff - 23"

Shoulder to shoulder - 20"

Trousers

The trousers are also 40 Pattern and are a similarly large size. A panel has been added on the rear to open them up further, but unfortunately this panel appears to have been rather poorly covered over at the top with a piece of denim fabric.  Clearly, there were better ways of doing this and a good tailor will I'm sure be able to remedy this.

There are one or two slight nips to the fabric and one slight L-shaped tear on the rear of one of the legs (approximately 1 inch).  The trousers are measured by hand as follows;

Waist - 19.5", so 38-40". Around 2.5 inches have been added by the extra panel,

Inside Leg - 28", but have been turned up with another 2.5" inches folded.

The trousers do need some TLC, but are very rarely seen in this enormous size.

No.

This was horribly made and a nightmare to put together. You have to basically bend the bars to get the coverings attached. The sizes don't match. The stickers that label the parts are impossible to remove and if you do get them off theres a lot of residue left behind. On top of that once it was put together I noticed theres a big dirty foot print on it which is definitely not mine.

You have to add weight to it
Color: Coal Black
It does its job and it was easy to put together but it's a little on the flimsy side and it will easily be knocked down. So you're going to have to figure out a way to make the legs heavier? I used cinder blocks, single cinder blocks and it works just fine. Just know that it will knock over super easy

Very useful
Color: Black
I’ve been using this room divider to separate my space from my daughter’s, and it has worked out really well. It provides just the right amount of privacy while still keeping the room feeling open and comfortable. The design is simple yet stylish, so it blends nicely with our decor. It’s also lightweight and easy to move when needed, which is a big plus. The material feels durable and well-made, not flimsy at all. Overall, it’s a practical and attractive solution for shared spaces, and I’m very happy with this purchase. I would definitely recommend it to others.
