The new instalment of “Home from Home” has taken elements from two of his different styles - one more focused on rolling landscapes and seascapes and one more focused on hyperrealism compromising portraitures and abstract work - giving a progressive contemporary feel to his work, whilst pushing and developing his technique and style. All the pieces of this collection evoke a sense of familiarity and they remind us of places we’ve been with a dream-like quality.
In “Lavender Sunrise”, the sunrise evokes a sense of stillness and tranquillity with the warming colours as the sun beams arise from the horizon, just allowing us to stop and look at the glorious colours as they unfold from the darkness. A mix of the new and old techniques, the beautifully detailed piece transports us to an idyllic word through the composition of the landscape and the calming hues.
Paul’s paintings are pieces of heavenly perfection, a special place where everyone is welcome. Presented an idealised view of nature, his original oil paintings add a feeling of peace and tranquillity to any living space.
