Niclas Wretelid is the master mind behind Soul Tune Records. He plays several instruments: Drums, percussion, Bass, piano and some more. and has been a big part of the Swedish Rare Groove scene since the mid 90´s.
Since he discovered James Brown´s music in 1987 when he heard Bobby Byrd´s ”I know you got soul” for the first time and almost fell of the chair!
He started Soul Tune Records in 2018 with a clear goal. The idea of Soul Tune Records is simple, compose great music and find both new and already established singers who have a voice that captures your soul, and together give you our version of Soul and Funk music!
By now he has teamed up with several fantastic musicians and singers including Desmond Foster, Johan Håkansson, Anna Thiam, Moses Patrou and Simon Lingmerth, and there´s a lot more in the pipeline!
