how to install Brady People ID

  • Prepare the printer: Power down the printer and ensure it is on a clean, level surface. Open the front cover and remove any remnants of the previous ribbon cartridge and cleaning rollers if present.
  • Insert the new YMCKOK ribbon: Carefully align the cartridge with the printer’s guides, ensuring the ribbon panels are oriented correctly for the card feed path. Slide the ribbon into place until it seats securely.
  • Close and initialize: Close the printer cover and power the device back on. The printer should detect the new ribbon automatically; if prompted, follow on-screen instructions to initialize or calibrate color alignment.
  • Load card stock: Ensure the card hopper is loaded with clean, dry cards of the correct size and type for the job. Verify that the card feed settings match the ribbon type you are using.
  • Run a test print: Print a small test batch to verify color accuracy, image clarity, and alignment. If colors appear off, allow the printer to re-calibrate and perform a further test print or cleaning cycle if necessary.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: Is this Brady YMCKOK ribbon compatible with Fargo 86201 printers? A: Yes. It is designed as an alternative for Fargo 86201, providing similar color capabilities and overlay protection while leveraging Brady’s ribbon chemistry and compatibility with YMCKOK configurations.
  • Q: What does YMCKOK stand for and when should I use it? A: YMCKOK is a six-color ribbon configuration (Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, Black, Overlay, and Black/Overlay) that supports full-color badge printing with a protective overlay. It is ideal for badges that require vivid colors, readable text, and long-lasting durability in daily use.
  • Q: Will it work with Brady’s own printers as well as third-party machines? A: The ribbon is formulated to work with Brady’s People ID line as well as compatible third-party systems that recognize YMCKOK ribbons and share a similar cartridge footprint. Always verify your printer model and ribbon compatibility before purchasing.
  • Q: How durable are the printed badges? A: The overlay layer protects the printed image and text from abrasion and light exposure, extending badge longevity in environments with frequent handling, UV light exposure, or outdoor use. For maximum durability, handle cards with care and use appropriate protective sleeves if needed.
  • Q: How many badges can I print per ribbon? A: Yield depends on card design, image coverage, and printer settings. Smaller, text-focused badges will typically yield more prints, while photos with extensive color areas may reduce total cards per ribbon. Expect a reliable yield suitable for medium-to-high-volume production with consistent quality.
  • Q: What should I do if colors look off or banding appears after installation? A: Run a cleaning cycle if your printer supports it, re-check ribbon installation for proper alignment, and confirm card stock compatibility. If issues persist, consult the printer’s calibration tools or contact Brady support for guidance on achieving color accuracy and alignment.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
