Designed for enterprise and professional applications where reliable power transformation matters, the Tripp Lite SU6000XFMRT2U is a rugged, rack-mountable step-down isolation transformer that converts high-voltage 208V or 240V power from generators, utility sources, or UPS systems into clean, stable 120V output. With a robust 6kVA / 6kW rating, this unit provides ample headroom for mixed loads while protecting connected equipment from voltage spikes, ground loops, and transient disturbances. The 2U enclosure is engineered for easy integration into data centers, equipment rooms, or portable power setups, offering a neat, organized power distribution solution for demanding environments.

  • Power conversion and isolation: 208V or 240V input smoothly steps down to 120V with galvanic isolation, helping to shield sensitive devices from line noise, transient spikes, and ground loop issues while preserving signal integrity in critical systems.
  • High-capacity input and multi-outlet distribution: 6kVA / 6kW of power capacity with 30A input support, compatible with an L6-30P input plug (included). The unit provides eight 5-15/20R outlets and four 5-15R outlets to power multiple devices from a single high-voltage source.
  • Rack-mount convenience: A durable 2U steel enclosure with standard mounting ears makes installation in racks, equipment closets, or portable racks quick and straightforward, delivering reliable power distribution in tight spaces.
  • Reliability and protection for critical gear: Built to endure demanding environments, the SU6000XFMRT2U delivers clean 120V power to sensitive electronics while isolating loads from input disturbances, reducing risk of damage from voltage transients and spikes.
  • Versatile compatibility for generators, UPS, and telecom gear: Ideal for connecting servers, network devices, audio/visual equipment, testing benches, labs, and telecom hardware to high-voltage sources without compromising performance or safety.

How to install SU6000XFMRT2U

  • Before installation, ensure the power source can provide 208V or 240V at up to 30A and that your rack space has proper ventilation.
  • Mount the SU6000XFMRT2U in a secure 2U rack using the included mounting ears or hardware. Ensure there is adequate clearance for air flow around the enclosure.
  • Connect the high-voltage input from your generator, utility, or UPS to the unit using the included L6-30P input plug. If wiring directly, follow local electrical codes and use appropriate connectors and isolation methods.
  • Route the 120V output cables to your connected devices, distributing loads across the eight 5-15/20R outlets and four 5-15R outlets to maintain balanced loading and minimize hotspot risk.
  • Power on the high-voltage source first, then verify that the SU6000XFMRT2U activates and delivers 120V on the output receptacles. Use a voltmeter to confirm correct output and ensure loads are within the transformer’s rating.

Frequently asked questions

  • What voltage does the SU6000XFMRT2U output? It steps down high-voltage input (208V or 240V) to a stable 120V output suitable for sensitive electronics and equipment.

Easy to use and seems sturdy
Color: Aqua Blue
It’s perfect! Larger than or last one. Easy to set up. Fits in a standard table hole and base. The color is just what the dogs wanted! Everything is always so grey and dull! The turquoise really pops

No customer service for product under warranty
Color: Beige
loved this umbrella for the 4 months we used it. did a lot of research to find an umbrella that would stand up to New England "breezes" -- this one was advertised as wind resistant; bought in June 2025, seemed very sturdy, really nice-looking, used on our patio (installed in the base the recommended base) through the summer; stored indoors for the winter; brought back onto patio a couple weeks ago. On a day with average wind a couple weeks ago, the tilt mechanism broke. Umbrella did not fall over, a gust of wind just forced the tilt mechanism to snap. Spent a lot of time trying to fix it, but it's permanently broken. It's less than a year old so still under warranty, as stated in the materials they sent with the umbrella. Same materials list the email to contact if there are any problems with the product. Have emailed the company, twice now, asking for a refund or replacement. Radio silence. Don't buy this unless you're ok with throwing it away after four or five months of use and being ignored by customer service.

Third time in 10 years nerding out on an Amazon patio umbrella on a budget...
Color: Navy Blue, Color: Navy Blue
Color: Beautiful, but the fabric is thinner than other options that are only ~$10 more. Tilt mechanism: Major reason for my 3:5 stars. It's plastic with a metal fastener through the middle. We won't be tilting this umbrella in any wind gust situations over 5mph. The warnings on the stickers and in the instructions make it clear this is a limitation, but it's not mentioned in the listing details. Quality | Value for money: Overall very mid. This is a nice 3-tiered umbrella at a near rock-bottom budget price for that class. I have found other mystery brand umbrellas on Amazon that have lasted for 5+ years, albeit with some (in my opinion) acceptable fading and rust. This umbrella leans hard into plastic everywhere except the fasteners. The ribs and pole are almost as thin as a few layers of beer cans pressed together. At least at the 10' and up diameter, this umbrella requires you to install equally flimsy-feeling extensions in order to get to 10', full sail. Final thoughts: This time around I chose price + delivery speed over quality, and I have a hunch I will be getting what I paid for. I doubt this umbrella lasts for more than 2 to 3 years without UV treatments and a very solid, heavy base.
