Inject virtually any passive instrument in your repertoire with vintage warmth and life with the 2-channel Heritage Audio 73DI 2, a DI box based on the classic 73-style preamp with a high-impedance JFET on the input and a balanced, transformer-isolated output stage. With the custom-built transformer, you can enhance bass, keys, synths, and more with wonderful low-mid saturation.

The discrete Class-A JFET input stage is the same found on all of Heritage's top-of-the-line audio products. The 73DI 2 offers excellent signal integrity and superior noise rejection thanks to its premium circuit components and gold-plated I/O connectors. The DI box provides a -15 dB input pad for overly hot signals and a ground-lift switch for eliminating grounding loops. The enclosure is constructed from durable 14-gauge steel for complete protection of the internal MIL-spec PCB. Along with metal switches, this DI box is built to last, even under intensely rigorous usage. As a two-channel DI box, two input and two thru jacks are provided over 1/4" while the two outputs are over XLR 3-pin. The unit runs on standard +48V phantom power and sports a red LED indicator light to let you know it's circuit is receiving power.

A Design 15 Years in the Making

Heritage Audio have been lovers of the 73-style topology since the very beginning. After years of consideration, they've managed to adopt the legendary 3-transistor topology to provide a top-notch DI at a reasonable price. The first transistor in the 73 stage was substituted by a J109 JFET, yielding a 2.2-megohm input impedance instead of the 47 kilohms in the original circuit.

A clever design on the power supply section allows it to keep the metal can 2n3055 output transistor that directly drives the custom-developed silicon steel grain-oriented output transformer, which is a phantom power-friendly version of the venerable LO1166, custom built to enhance the natural performance of your instrument in the same, unique way that a vintage 73 preamp will enhance a mic signal.

Versatile and Pristine

Being a transformer-based unit, its output is isolated from the instrument and there is a further provision for lifting the ground, as well. An additional -15 dB pad switch helps with hotter instruments and even allows speaker outputs to be plugged into the 73DI 2. A thru parallel connection rounds out the pack, and all I/O jacks are gold plated and isolated from chassis.

Bring Out the True Tone of Every Instrument

Usually active DI boxes work best with passive circuitry instruments like guitars and basses but thanks to the 73 DI’s high-input headroom, it can also be used wonderfully on keyboards, synths, drum machines, and samplers when plugging directly into a PA or recording system is required. Passive basses such as precision and jazz bass suddenly acquire a new life, with a sparkling high end, a solid bottom end, and that low midrange saturation the 73 is famous for.

Instruments like the Fender Rhodes produce their full body and bell-like tone like never heard before. Saturation makes Wurlitzer electric pianos growl like they’re being amped without the hassle. The possibilities are endless.

Just the Right Touch of Vintage Warmth and Vibes

This meticulously engineered design is what gives the 73DI its outstanding performance, delivering a rich, dynamic direct sound that fully captures the harmonic complexity of any instrument and even pre-recorded tracks. An attractive yet protective 14-gauge steel enclosure with MIL-spec circuit board makes the 73DI virtually indestructible and totally roadworthy, with all connections recessed for dumb-free operation.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

Vale is an 8 month pregnant omega working as a waitress at a strip club and a cam girl. She starts to get very creepy vibes from a regular at the club, and her baby daddy ghosted her. She has had an online relationship with a man named Bishop through her cam girl status. One night, bishop was paying to watch her sleep and ansthe creepy regular Andrew break in and watch her sleep he tells vale to come to him at his business now. She flees and finds herself at a large security company with some.hot of alphas who are there to help her. This imegaverse is a little different than I have read, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Vale is not a traditional omega she was raised by a single beta mom, and the alphas are not normal alphas they have never really loved pack life. But they are ruthless mercenaries. They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.

That ending 😫
Format: Kindle
I fell into a false sense of security and really thought this was gearing towards a happy ending. Then I realized there’s no work they don’t punish Andrew. I really liked Vale’s character. I don’t normally read books with pregnancy but going into this knowing she was pregnant made it more enjoyable for me. I loved Bishops devotion to her and her happiness. I also loved that Holt and Mercy couldn’t fight their attraction to her. I love scent matches so very much. I’m so curious to see how this duet will end up. And I need to pay more attention and notice that a book I’m starting is a duet to begin with lol

I just knew there was something about Cooper! I’m wondering if he’s about to be included but damn I’m glad he’s at least not a rapist and creepy guy, he just got called on assignment and had to go! This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!

very cute!
Format: Kindle
This is my first read from this author. The story was very cute with some angsty moments. I loved the way the different MMCs helped the FMC as she recovered from the trauma she endured. It was a great way to highlight their personalities!
