The TRENDnet TI-PGM541 is engineered for harsh industrial environments where reliable PoE+ power and high-speed data are essential. This rugged DIN-rail switch delivers four Gigabit PoE+ Ethernet ports plus a Gigabit SFP uplink, all housed in a compact, black enclosure designed to withstand wide temperature fluctuations and demanding installations. With a 120W PoE budget, a wide DC input range, and versatile mounting options, the TI-PGM541 powers IP cameras, wireless APs, gateways, and other PoE-enabled devices while seamlessly integrating into vehicle, factory, or outdoor enclosures. Its robust construction, easy installation, and practical features make it an ideal solution for industrial automation, smart surveillance, and edge networking across challenging environments.

  • Industrial-grade PoE+ switching with ample power: Four Gigabit PoE+ RJ-45 ports supply up to 30W per port, delivering a total PoE budget of 120W to power IP cameras, wireless access points, door controllers, and other PoE-capable devices directly from the switch, reducing the need for separate power injectors.
  • Flexible uplink with a Gigabit SFP slot: In addition to the PoE+ ports, a dedicated Gigabit SFP slot enables fiber or copper-based uplinks for extended reach or high-density networks. This uplink versatility supports scalable deployments with low latency and dependable performance.
  • Rugged, wide-temperature design: Operates reliably in extreme conditions from -20°C to 65°C (-4°F to 149°F), making it suitable for industrial cabinets, outdoor enclosures, and machinery environments. The device is built to endure vibrations, dust, and other harsh factors common in industrial settings.
  • DIN-rail and wall-mount compatibility with secure power: The TI-PGM541 ships with DIN-rail mounting capability for quick, secure installations in panels and cabinets, plus wall-mount options for flexible positioning. A 6-pin removable terminal block simplifies power connection, and a dedicated grounding point enhances electrical safety in noisy industrial environments.
  • Minimal management, maximum reliability: LED indicators provide at-a-glance status for PoE, links, activity, and system health. Its non-blocking 10Gbps switching capacity ensures fast data forwarding across ports, while the compact black enclosure keeps installation neat and unobtrusive in equipment racks or control rooms.

How to install TRENDnet TI-PGM541

  • Prepare the installation area: Ensure the enclosure or cabinet is clean, free from excessive dust, and has space for proper ventilation. Verify the operating temperature range and secure the device away from any strong sources of heat or moisture.
  • Mount the switch: Attach the TI-PGM541 to a DIN-rail using the included mounting accessories, or mount it on a suitable wall surface if the installation requires a fixed position outside a standard rack. Ensure the unit is firmly seated and Level to prevent vibration damage.
  • Connect power safely: Use the 6-pin removable terminal block to connect the 50–55V DC power supply. Ensure correct polarity and secure connections. If available, attach the grounding wire to the dedicated grounding point to minimize electrical noise and improve protection in noisy industrial environments.
  • Connect PoE devices: Plug PoE-enabled devices into the 4 Gigabit PoE+ RJ-45 ports. Arrange power distribution and cable routing to minimize interference and keep cables tidy. Check that connected devices comply with the total PoE budget to avoid under-powered devices.
  • Set up the uplink: If fiber connectivity is required, install a compatible Gigabit SFP module into the SFP slot and connect it to your fiber link or other switch uplink. If copper uplink is used, ensure the appropriate transceivers are in place and properly connected.
  • Power up and verify: Apply DC power and observe the LED indicators to confirm Power is on, PoE ports are active, and the SFP uplink is functioning. If needed, perform basic network tests to ensure end devices receive power and data transmission is stable.
  • Documentation and safety: Label cables for easier maintenance, keep the area organized, and observe all safety guidelines for high-power installations. If you’re integrating into a larger network, make note of IP addressing, VLANs, and any QoS settings that may affect PoE devices.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: How many PoE+ ports does the TI-PGM541 provide, and what is the total PoE budget?
A: It provides 4 PoE+ ports with a total PoE budget of 120W at 56V DC, enabling efficient power delivery to multiple PoE devices from a single switch.
  • Q: What kind of uplink does it offer?
A: It includes 1 Gigabit SFP slot for flexible uplink options, including fiber connections, to meet long-distance or high-bandwidth network requirements.
  • Q: What temperatures can the TI-PGM541 operate in?
A: It is designed for harsh industrial environments and operates from -20°C to 65°C (-4°F to 149°F).
  • Q: How is the device powered and mounted?
A: The switch uses a 50–55V DC power input via a 6-pin removable terminal block and supports DIN-rail mounting as well as wall-mounting for versatile installations.
  • Q: Can the PoE budget be allocated differently across ports?
A: The total 120W PoE budget is shared across the PoE+ ports; individual port power depends on the devices connected and total consumption, so plan accordingly to ensure sufficient power for all PoE devices.
  • Q: Is this switch suitable for outdoor or dusty environments?
A: While designed for industrial use and wide temperature operation, you should deploy it in an enclosure or cabinet appropriate for local environmental conditions to protect against moisture and contaminants.

It works to divide a room, but it's not easy to use.
Color: Grey, Size: 6 Panel
This comes in multiple pieces and you have to build every single piece including the cloth that is between the two poles. There are plastic clips to hold the sections together, but they easily come off if you move the dividers the wrong way or try to reposition it. The only thing holding it up is rectangular shaped feet on the bottom and they are a pain when you hit it with your toes. It works if you need to divide a room, but its not pretty and there are far better options. It's cheaply made and has a habit of falling down if you are trying to use it in a straight or slightly angled line.
