Uncompromising audio quality

Its balanced TRS and XLR analog I/O, as well as its two headphone outputs, yield industry-leading noise and distortion specs. Its four built-in mic preamps boast plenty of gain, with an ultra-transparent sound that offers a picture-perfect representation of any sound source. The Fireface 802 FS AE is armed with state-of-the-art AD/DA conversion, providing unprecedented sonic clarity, and its SteadyClock FS guarantees jitter-free operation, even when you clock the unit to an external clock source. Every one of the Fireface 802 FS AE's analog inputs and outputs is individually switchable between -10dBv, +4dBu, and HiGain (equivalent to +2dBV, +13dBu, and +19dBu for digital full scale). To top it off, all this audio interface's outputs accommodate ASIO Direct Monitoring (ADM).

USB 2.0 class-compliant audio
The Fireface 802 FS AE operates in both a driver-based USB 2.0 mode and a class-compliant mode. The driver-based mode provides functionality that most DAW-based studio owners will find intuitive and familiar. The class-compliant mode operates natively on Windows, MacOS, Linux, and iPadOS — no proprietary drivers required. In class-compliant mode, all channels are available for driverless operation. What's more, an iPad Pro with USB-C can manage up to 60 channels of recording or playback via TotalMix Remote for iPad.
