The M 150 Tube Microphone from Neumann is a modified omnidirectional, condenser tube microphone designed for vocal and general instrument recording in the studio. Designed after the classic M 50 tube microphone, the M 150 incorporates many of the features in a modern microphone. The M 150 features a transformerless tube amplifier based on the M 149. This results in warm transparent audio signal character with a very low noise floor.

The titanium diaphragm of the pressure capsule is 12mm in diameter and is exceedingly thin. As requested by top engineers, the head-grille is shaped just like that on the original M 50. The directional characteristic of the M 150 is totally unique; the microphone features a true omnidirectional pattern at low frequencies and becomes more narrow with mid and upper frequencies.

A General Studio Use Reproduction of a Classic

The Neumann M 150 Tube microphone is a specialized tube model for vocal and general instrument recording in the studio, designed after the classic M 50 tube microphone but incorporating many features of modern microphones.

Tube Circuitry

The M 150 tube design results in smooth warm audio character and the transformerless audio retains a high output while maintaining a low noise floor.

Titanium Pressure Diaphragm

The 12 mm titanium pressure diaphragm handles high sound pressure levels and provides detailed sound reproduction.

Modified Omnidirectional

The M 150 is a fully circular, omnidirectional microphone at lower frequencies and has a narrower pick up with mid and upper frequencies.

Dont wait! Assemble right away! Just in case you need to return it.

Ok, I like the idea of this but the assembly is frustrating. One side lined up perfectly with the holes however, the small bars that connect the screen to base is not lining up. I think it's do the fabric the screen or divider is made of. It's not stretchy. I brought this months ago and just opened it today. I'm upset and don't even think returning it is possible. If the material was a bit longer or stretchy to give a little room to work with this divider would be great. However, I'm not sure what I can use it for since I'm unable to attach it to the bottom. Beware! Don't wait like me. Tip for the manufacturer. Next time invest in Velcro dividers so the fabric can be adjusted with ease. Literally if I take the screen off the frame aligns perfectly. However, it defeats its purpose of privacy. I might buy some material myself and create a more flexible divider. Or I'll buy Velcro myself and attach to the bottom. I don't know yet.

easy to put together, stable and blocks out unwanted eyes.

If you live in a high rise building, or where there is lots of foot traffic and can see in your windows, this is a must have. It's portable, can fold down one or two walls and easy to move around. Put together once, and block out light and eyes while tall enough to see over. You can fold it up along the wall, and use it to block out the blinds or light when using a projector so that it's darker. You can use it to partician the room if you share one, and separate your pile of junk from your room so you don't look at it, can take quite a bit of towel weight and clothes and doesn't tip over. Sturdy bottom metal and easy to put together. I got the grey one, and glad I did. I use it everyday and is part of my room decor. I love it, and after using it for a few months it's quite durable. The quality is there for sure. A tad pricey, but worth it. Must have for a private person.
