Epiphone’s Hummingbird Deluxe EC, crafted in collaboration with Gibson Custom, reimagines Gibson’s iconic square-shoulder acoustic guitar through the lens of a modern approach, accentuated by elevated tonewoods, a cutaway design, and contemporary performance-driven features. Showcasing a solid spruce top reinforced with traditional scalloped X-bracing, solid rosewood back and sides, a 1-piece genuine mahogany neck, and a highly accessible 20-fret ebony fingerboard, the Hummingbird Deluxe EC delivers a full-bodied, luxurious sound with prominent bass tones, natural high-end sparkle, and a mature resonance courtesy of the thermal-aging process. The Hummingbird Deluxe EC comes equipped with an LR Baggs VTC Bronze electronics system that helps faithfully amplify the guitar’s organic character for honest and authentic performances, whether in the studio or on the stage. In reverence to the original model, the Hummingbird Deluxe EC is adorned with the iconic etched Hummingbird pickguard design, mother-of-pearl inlays decorating the fingerboard and Gibson “open book” headstock, and a 1.73-inch bone nut at the top of the neck further complemented by a compensated bone saddle and bone pins.

Torrefied tonewoods for optimal resonance

To achieve the coveted sound of a vintage acoustic guitar, Epiphone masterfully enhances the solid spruce top of the Hummingbird Deluxe EC via torrefaction, or thermal aging. This process results in a guitar capable of a deeper resonance and a more nuanced response, with a finely aged aesthetic that perfectly complements the mature sound. Joined by a 1-piece genuine mahogany neck, solid rosewood back and sides, and an ebony fingerboard, the Hummingbird Deluxe EC is more than fitting of its name, delivering to players a full-bodied, rich sound complete with luscious bass frequencies and sparkling high overtones. When paired with a 24.75-inch scale and rounded C-profile neck, maneuvering between lush chords and delicate melodies is a transcendent experience.

A host of elegant appointments

Guitar aficionados here believe that any design greatly inspired by a beloved model of yesteryear must be handled with reverence and care, and it’s evident to us that Epiphone spared no detail when designing the Hummingbird Deluxe EC. From the Gibson reverse belly ebony bridge to the iconic pickguard down to the authentic bone nut, saddle, and pins, this guitar perfectly balances mid-century elegance with a modern appeal. Further adorned with a curation of bespoke hardware, including a set of Grover Rotomatic tuners on a Gibson “open book” headstock that’s fully decorated with mother-of-pearl inlays, the Hummingbird Deluxe EC radiates a newly refined aesthetic.

Faithfully voiced by an LR Baggs electronics system

The Hummingbird Deluxe EC comes equipped with an LR Baggs VTC Bronze preamp and a neatly mounted under-saddle piezo system, assisting your guitar in meeting the demands of today’s players without encroaching on its spotlight. Whether recording in the studio or plugging in for a live performance, the LR Baggs VTC Bronze system thrives in capturing the guitar’s natural sonic characteristics and voicing the guitar’s full-bodied warmth and detailed nuance. Likewise, soundhole-mounted Volume and Tone adjustments provide even more sonic control, further bolstering the authentic amplified experience.

Just a tiny, accurate scale
Color: Black
Works flawlessly after I calibrated it compared to my other. Out of the box it was (very) off. Now it's within .1 of a gram. It's far more responsive than I expected. It's perfect for espresso and it's tiny so it fits on the smallest drip trays.

A really nice scale at a budget price!
Color: Black
Does a really nice job for a budget scale! I had an Amazon basics scale (which works great and I still use!), but I needed/wanted a tenth of a gram for weighing Moka Pot water and coffee. I can put this scale on my water dispenser, measure out exactly what I need, then put the Moka Pot filter (in a glass jigger so it stands up :-) on the scale (with a magnetic espresso funnel) and measure out my coffee. It holds up to daily use and is accurate. Nice job for my first "professional" scale :-)!

Solid little workhorse
Color: Space Grey
Works well. Key part of my espresso setup. Battery charge lasts. Easy to use. My only gripe is that the power switch can be hard (for me) to turn on and off without lifting it up to find it.

Worth it!
Color: Black
A necessity for anyone trying to elevate their espresso making game. I use this to measure my beans and to also measure the shot I pull and how long it takes to pull. It’s great quality and totally worth it. The scale is very quick to start when the shot starts to pull. Easy to use and a great scale.

Works prefectly, accurate, easy to use, and looks great.
Color: Black
I didn't expect much but it works really well and seems to be very accurate. It's much more sensitive (to 0.1g) than the scale I was using to measure my coffee and the autostart timer works really well. Also, unlike my other scale, this one is USB-C rechargable and so far has no indication of needing a recharge after a week or so of daily use. My other scale uses CR2032 batteries and goes through a pair every three weeks, so being able to recharge instead is quite nice. It's small and I can use it to time the extraction and also use it to measure out heated water for tea, or whatever I need. This is definitely a steal for the price.
