Elevate your network infrastructure with the Ortronics Network Patch Panel — an unloaded, flat-panel solution engineered for rear loading KSFTP6 or KSFTP6A shielded jacks. This panel is designed to support high-density, shielded CAT 6A deployments while delivering clean cable management, reliable grounding, and effortless customization. Built for data centers, enterprise offices, and network closets, it provides a flexible foundation for a precision patching strategy that grows with your network. With RoHS-compliant, lead-free construction and thoughtfully integrated rear cable management, this patch panel helps maintain signal integrity, simplify administration, and support best-in-class cabling practices. Its rear-loading jack design is preferred for panels, enabling tidy, quiet patching workflows and scalable future upgrades. Whether you’re refurbishing a legacy site or constructing a new backbone, this unloaded panel gives you the control to tailor your patching topology to exact requirements, while keeping installations clean, compliant, and easy to manage over time.

  • Unloaded flat panel for maximum flexibility: plan, organize, and patch according to your network's evolving needs without preinstalled connectivity constraints.
  • Rear loading KSFTP6 or KSFTP6A shielded jacks compatibility: supports high-performance shielded connections optimized for 10GBASE-T and beyond, preserving signal integrity in demanding environments.
  • Comprehensive rear cable management: integrated features promote orderly routing, minimize crosstalk, and simplify future cable changes with reduced disruption.
  • Grounding lug included: ensures solid grounding to reduce EMI and maintain dependable performance across the patching system.
  • RoHS-compliant, lead-free construction: environmentally responsible design that remains compatible with modern data-center disposal and recycling standards while not compromising performance.

Technical Details of Ortronics Network Patch Panel

  • Panel type: Unloaded flat panel designed for rear loading KSFTP6/KSFTP6A shielded jacks.
  • Cable management: Supplied rear cable management to support good cabling practices and tidy installations.
  • Grounding: Includes grounding lug for reliable EMI control and robust equipment grounding.
  • RoHS compliance: Lead-free construction meets environmental and safety standards.
  • Mounting orientation: rear loading jacks are the preferred mounting method for these panels in typical rack configurations.
  • Jack compatibility: Supports Category 6A shielded jacks to deliver high-performance shielding and data integrity for modern networks.

How to install Ortronics Network Patch Panel

Installing the Ortronics Network Patch Panel is a straightforward process that fits into standard data-center and IT closet workflows. Begin by planning your layout—identify the rack space, determine the path for the KSFTP6/KSFTP6A shielded jacks, and label zones for easy maintenance. Ensure you have the appropriate rack screws, anchors, and any required adapters so the patch panel sits securely within the enclosure. A well-planned layout reduces future disruption and makes patching faster during moves, adds, or changes.

Step 1: Prepare the rack or enclosure and confirm that mounting rails are level and properly spaced. Since this is an unloaded panel intended for rear loading jacks, you’ll want to ensure there is unobstructed access to the rear of the chassis for cabling once installed.

Step 2: Mount the unloaded panel into the rack using compatible hardware. Align the panel with the mounting rails and tighten the fasteners securely. A stable base prevents panel flexing during cable management and jack insertion, which helps protect the integrity of both the panel and the shielded KSFTP6/KSFTP6A jacks.

Step 3: Route and secure the rear cables through the provided rear cable management features. Maintain proper bend radii, keep power and data cables separated as required by your site standards, and label each cable trajectory to simplify future maintenance. The rear cable management is designed to promote clean, scalable cabling that supports high-precision patching schemes.

Step 4: Install KSFTP6 or KSFTP6A shielded jacks into the panel slots according to the manufacturer’s guidance. Confirm each jack seats fully and is oriented correctly for termination with Shielded Category 6A patch cords. Proper seating ensures consistent performance and reduces the risk of intermittent connectivity.

Step 5: Attach the grounding lug to the designated grounding point on the panel and connect it to the facility’s grounding conductor following your site’s grounding practices. A solid ground path helps minimize EMI and supports consistent, reliable network performance in shielded environments.

Step 6: Label ports clearly and perform a patch testing routine using a suitable cable tester for Category 6A shielded cabling. Validate continuity, resistance, and shielding integrity to confirm that the installation meets your performance goals. Document the patching map for future changes and audits.

Step 7: Conduct a final walk-through to check for any cable strain, ensure routes remain free of pinch points, and verify that the panel doors or covers close properly without interfering with the rear cabling. By completing these checks, you safeguard long-term reliability and ease of maintenance in busy network environments.

Decent Shoes with Misleading Description (Not Leather)
Size: 12 Wide, Color: Black, Size: 12 Wide, Color: Black
I only look for leather when I’m purchasing dress shoes. Under the description “details” on this item it lists the shoe as leather upper and inner lining. A photo shows “genuine Napa leather lining”. If you keep reading (which I have now that I’ve received the shoes) it shows “faux leather” in the small print and that is not “leather”. I run a small leather business and this irks me because it’s clearly false advertising. The details also show the product is made in Brazil but when they arrived today, the shoe tag shows “Made in China” and “Man Made upper and lower”. I don’t hate the shoes. They look nice. What I know is they won’t hold up over time like leather, which is why the description should be accurate and not misleading.
