Strategies to help break the Cycle of Traumatic Memory: 13-Hour CPD
In the PTSD Trauma Master Class, the focus is on high-resolution clinical decision-making in the moments that determine whether PTSD treatment stabilises or destabilises. You will learn evidence-based strategies to help clients interrupt the cycle of traumatic memory, with a particular emphasis on intrusive imagery, somatic re-experiencing, and flashbacks, including presentations that show up as agitation, anger, urgency, or collapse rather than obvious “reliving”.
This is an intermediate-level workshop designed for clinicians who already understand the fundamentals and want to refine their practice. You will develop a robust, structured approach to PTSD using Trauma-Focused CBT and Somatic-body focused approaches. Core components include Enhanced Reliving, Trigger Discrimination for flashbacks and intrusive somatic memories, and values-led Reclaiming of Life work to support recovery beyond symptom reduction.

Putting the Skills from Day One into Practice: Live Observation
Delegates will get the chance to observe Trauma-Focused therapy in action (with a professional actor playing our very credible client attending therapy). We discuss the moment–to–moment decisions about the direction therapy should take - unpacking the therapeutic process with real-time demonstration & practice of skills. Plus, other diverse clinical material will be used to illustrate different presentations, real-world challenges & therapy pitfalls.
