The Lenovo Intel X710-DA4 4x10Gb SFP+ Adapter blends Intel’s proven 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance with Lenovo’s enterprise-grade reliability to power the next generation of data centers. Engineered for high-density server deployments, this quad 10GbE SFP+ network adapter delivers outstanding throughput, exceptional small-packet performance, and efficient power consumption, making it a cornerstone for virtualization-heavy environments, cloud-ready infrastructure, and mission-critical workloads. Whether you’re consolidating virtual machines, accelerating databases, or building scalable storage networks, the X710-DA4 brings flexible, low-latency networking that keeps pace with demanding data center requirements. Its design emphasizes virtualization-friendly features, enabling rapid provisioning and streamlined network management without sacrificing CPU cycles or latency. This combination of performance, efficiency, and virtualization readiness positions the X710-DA4 as a trusted choice for modern Lenovo servers and mixed-hypervisor deployments.

  • The Lenovo Intel X710-DA4 offers high-density connectivity with 4 independent 10GbE SFP+ ports, delivering a total potential bandwidth of up to 40 Gbps. This dense port count is ideal for blade servers, dense rack servers, and data center hosts that require robust uplink/downlink scalability. The quad-port design allows network engineers to segment traffic by workload, optimize for virtualization, and deploy NIC teaming or link aggregation to meet high-throughput, low-latency requirements across virtual machines, containers, and storage traffic. By supporting a variety of SFP+ modules and direct-attach cables, the X710-DA4 provides flexible cabling options that adapt to evolving data center topologies while maintaining consistent performance and reliability.
  • Performance and virtualization offloads are central to the X710-DA4 experience. This adapter is engineered for advanced server virtualization, offering features such as Single-Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV), Virtual Machine Queue (VMQ), VLAN offloads, and Large Send/Receive Offloads. These offloads reduce CPU overhead and minimize interrupt storms, which translates into lower latency for virtual machines and higher aggregate throughput for multi-tenant environments. With efficient small-packet handling, the card excels in network-intensive workloads—ranging from microservices to storage I/O traffic—while maintaining predictable performance even under demanding virtualization scenarios.
  • Deployment flexibility and broad ecosystem support are hallmarks of the X710-DA4. Designed for PCIe 3.0 and capable of fitting into standard x8 slots, it integrates smoothly with a wide range of Lenovo servers and operating systems. Its compatibility with common Hypervisors—such as VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, and KVM-based platforms—ensures that you can standardize on a single, scalable networking solution across your virtualization stack. The adapter also plays well with software-defined networking (SDN) environments, enabling VLANs, QoS policies, and network virtualization schemes without sacrificing bare-metal performance.
  • Power efficiency and data center TCO are improved with the X710-DA4’s low-power design. In dense server environments, power and cooling costs can be a significant portion of total cost of ownership. The X710-DA4 addresses this with optimized power usage while still delivering high-throughput performance. This efficiency contributes to cooler operation, longer component life, and reduced energy costs for large-scale deployments. For data centers prioritizing sustainability alongside performance, the X710-DA4 provides a balanced solution that does not compromise speed for energy savings.
  • Ease of management and seamless network integration complete the value proposition. The X710-DA4 supports standard 10GbE networking features, including IEEE 802.3 compliance, VLAN tagging, link aggregation, and traffic shaping, which simplifies integration into existing networks and storage backplanes. Administrators can leverage driver-level utilities and Lenovo/Intel-provided management tooling to monitor health, update firmware, and optimize performance. This aligns well with both proactive maintenance strategies and rapid provisioning workflows in modern data centers, helping IT teams deliver reliable networking services with minimal operational overhead.

How to Install Lenovo Intel X710-DA4 4x10Gb SFP+ Adapter

  • Power down the server completely and unplug all power sources before handling any hardware components.
  • Open the server chassis and locate an available PCIe x8 slot. Ensure that the slot is compatible with PCIe 3.0 to maximize performance and bandwidth.
  • Insert the Lenovo Intel X710-DA4 adapter firmly into the PCIe x8 slot until it seats securely. You may need to remove any adjacent cards or shims to ensure proper seating and cooling clearance.
  • Attach your preferred 10Gb SFP+ transceivers or direct-attach copper cables to the four SFP+ ports. Confirm cabling compatibility with your network fabric and ensure a proper link after installation.
  • Power on the server and install the latest drivers and firmware from Lenovo/Intel. Configure the network interfaces in your operating system, enable virtualization offloads if desired (e.g., SR-IOV, VMQ), and set up NIC teaming, VLANs, or LACP as required by your network design. Validate connectivity and throughput with appropriate testing tools and monitoring software.

Inexpensive, not cheap, with useful added features
Color: A4 - Blue / Black
First impressions: 1. The watch has features unexpected at this price point: a. Stainless case (claimed) and back b. Glass, not plastic, crystal c. Functioning luminosity (duration to be tested) of hands (not seconds) and 5-minute tics d. Day/date display e. Clear setting instructions in english f. Sweep second hand 2. Packaging was not fancy, but effective; watch arrived in perfect shape with no visible defects: Flat cardboard box in cardboard sleeve with embossed logo, fitted foam box liner, plactic film around watch, protective plactic discs on crystal and stainless back. 3. Overnight delivery via Amazon to my front door (much better than USPS) 4. Faux-croc band looks and feels fine for now 5. Setting mechanisms all worked smoothly 6. The black watch is quite handsome, if not elegant, with a simple, understated blue dial and gold markers; the photos in the listing were a faithful representation 7. I measured the case at a fraction of a mm over 39, the max for my small wrists 8. I observed some nits that are to be expected at this price point: a. Second hand alignment is off by a quarter of a second from second marks b. Black case is excessively shiny; probably is not ion-coated and finish may not be very durable, but was preferable to me over the gold, which I am sure will mar easily c. Watch has a snap-on (not screw-on) back and minimal water resistance Bottom line, I seem to have received exactly what was offered, which is a lot for around $30

The watch Is beautiful, keeps time & date well and seems to be made of quality materials
Color: A1 - Blue / Brown
First off I have not had a watch in 20 years since I use my phone for the date and time. I decided to try using one again and love not having to retrieve my phone to check the time. The watch is beautiful and I love the look of the gold with the blue face and brown band. It works great and appears to be of the same quality as the Seiko watches that I use to own. I tested the face and tried to scratch a small area with a sharp object. I would not scratch so it is either glass or a crystal. the metal seems to be of good quality and the band is comfortable and feels like leather. Overall I am happy with it and will update this review if the situation changes.

Nice looking watch with day and date
Color: A5 - Black
This watch has a nice black face and looks like it is high quality considering the price. I guess time will tell how durable it is. The only thing I am not as pleased about is the band which is stiff and is not as comfortable as another watch that has a leather band.
