The Electro-Voice Active Log Periodic Antenna (ALPA) is a high-performance RF accessory engineered to extend system range and improve reception for professional wireless setups. Covering the essential 470–960 MHz band, this active directional antenna helps you pull in the desired RF signal while effectively rejecting unwanted interference. Its switchable 3 dB and 10 dB amplified gain gives you the flexibility to adapt to different environments, from tightly packed venues to open-stage environments. Designed to mount on a standard threaded microphone stand, the ALPA delivers fast, secure deployment without sacrificing performance. If you’re expanding an existing wireless system or planning a new installation for events, broadcasting, or studio work, the ALPA provides reliable, front-end signal enhancement and directional focus that can make the difference between a marginal link and a rock-solid connection.

  • Broadband coverage: 470–960 MHz to match the most common wireless microphone and in-ear monitor bands, maximizing compatibility and reducing the need for multiple antennas.
  • Switchable gain: Easily select +3 dB or +10 dB of amplified gain to tailor sensitivity to your venue size, RF environment, and system requirements.
  • Active design: Integrated preamplifier boosts weak RF signals, extending range and reinforcing link budgets for reliable performance in challenging RF spaces.
  • Directional performance: Log-periodic configuration concentrates reception toward the desired transmitter while suppressing stray RF, improving signal-to-noise ratio and overall clarity.
  • Mounting flexibility: Mounts quickly and securely on standard threaded microphone stands, enabling on-the-fly repositioning and versatile placement on stage, in studio, or at venues.

how to install Electro-Voice Active Log Periodic Antenna

  • Attach the ALPA to a standard threaded microphone stand using the built-in mounting thread and secure it firmly to prevent movement during use.
  • Connect the RF coax from your wireless transmitter/receiver to the antenna input with a low-loss feed line to preserve signal integrity.
  • Select the appropriate gain setting on the antenna: +3 dB for typical environments, or +10 dB when operating in higher-RF-noise venues or longer cable runs.
  • Orient the antenna toward the anticipated RF source, then adjust azimuth and elevation to maximize received signal while suppressing interference from off-axis directions.
  • Route and secure cables to minimize movement, protect connections from accidental disconnection, and verify a clean RF link before going live.

Fit my 2020 Subaru Outback perfectly. 5-minute install. Works great. My previous cabin filter was scary to see.

Good, inexpensive replacement filter
I've used these filters for a couple years (four replacements) on my Subaru Crosstrek, and they seem to do the job well, probably as well as the original. I generally remove and clean them every three months, and replace them every six.

Save some money by doing your own cabin filter change! (You won't notice a difference).
So, one day I was getting an oil change at the dealership, and the associate told me that cabin filter was pretty dirty, which I believed because of the places I take the car, and she said that they could change it while they were finishing up the rest of their inspection, since they already had it apart. I asked her "How much?", and then we both had a laugh when she said "$90." I told her I'd take care of it. It took two days for Amazon to get a replacement filter to me, twenty minutes to watch a You Tube video showing how to replace the cabin filter on my car (I watched it twice), and then about twenty-five minutes to replace the filter itself--I keep a messy glove compartment, so a good portion of the time was loading and unloading that nightmare. In the end, under $15 for the filter, maybe 45 minutes to watch and replace, and the cabin filter hasn't been this good since I first bought the car. This replacement version was as good as the OE filter, fit exactly the same, there's no difference in airflow that I can tell, and so far (6 months later), it seems to be holding up pretty well. We'll see what it is like after a year. I did get the oil changed about a week ago, and the technician didn't raise any alarms about the filter, so everything seems to be working. $90 for a new filter? You can do it yourself cheaper.

Fresh Air Upgrade for My 2024 Impreza
Installed this in my 2024 Subaru Impreza, and it fit perfectly—no issues. The air smells noticeably cleaner now, and it took less than 10 minutes to swap out. The carbon and HEPA filtration does a great job clearing out odors, dust, and pollen—definitely an upgrade over the factory filter. The build feels sturdier than the OEM version, though it does have slightly fewer pleats. Might mean it needs replacing a bit sooner, but for the price and performance, I’m fine with that tradeoff. If you’re looking for a quick, affordable way to improve your cabin air, this one’s a solid pick.
