The S-style companion to the Greg Koch Gristlemaster, Reverend’s Greg Koch Signature Gristle ST reimagines an all-time classic 6-string design with superb performance, adventurous active electronics, and signature Reverend style. This guitar starts with a korina body to provide singing resonance and a lightweight feel. By Greg’s request, the body is just a tad oversized compared to the typical S-style instrument. Under the hood, you get three of Greg’s single-space Fishman Fluence pickups, dishing out a limitless tonal palette to cover Greg’s dizzyingly versatile chops. Plus, the Gristle ST boasts a push-pull boost and a blend control that injects the bridge and neck pickups into your current position on the 5-way switch. And when it comes to playability, it’s tough to top the speedy feel and rock-solid stability of this guitar’s roasted maple medium oval neck and 12-inch-radius roasted maple fingerboard. It’s all topped off with a superior set of hardware, including Reverend’s Pin-Lock tuning machines and a modernized S-style Wilkinson VS100N tremolo unit.
