Awarded to FRIEDER BERNIUS in 2009, the Bach Medal of the City of Leipzig acknowledges a life's engagement with the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, his pupils and his family. That quest began in the family home, a pastor's residence that gave him early access to Bach's organ music, violin compositions and choral works. As a student at the Stuttgart College of Music, he initially responded to the city's "Romantic" Bach tradition, but the ideas of Hans Grischkat and encounters with artists outside Germany soon committed him to an engagement with the historical approach to performance that he has maintained to this day. The formation of a Baroque orchestra of his own in 1985 and the establishment of the International Festival of Early Music (1987, "Stuttgart Barock" since 2004) prove him to be a pioneer of historical performance practice. He has since been the guest of many renowned European festivals and has performed some 80 of Bach's cantatas and most notably his Motets, the B minor Mass and the St Matthew Passion (Salzburg, Vienna, Bruges, Madrid, Paris, Barcelona and Munich).

Felt durable but it couldn’t hold up

I really thought my pet wouldn’t be able to destroy it but it’s in tiny pieces in the trash now. we played together and she was gentle I guess because she didn’t bite or tug hard at all I left her alone with it like I’ve done before but this time she broke it down in chunks. Did not have this toy for more then 24 hours.

Can be tossed around indoors

Flexible stick toy. Dogs enjoy carrying it around. Squeaks. We have had one for years. It is still in great shape but bought 2 more as I have 3 dogs and all enjoy them. I can toss this in the house.

Great fun & strong!!!

These are the best sticks ever!
Our dogs chew and slobber all over these for sometimes an hour at a time. They like the “give” texture when they chew it. Imagine an indestructible, gummy bear!
Because of their softness, they don’t end up with sharp edges or texture, although they are sturdy, and very durable. We have had these for our two dogs for close to a month now and it is their go to indoor to stick. The gentle squeak is not loud and obnoxious, but a playful sound that has them coming back for more with each chomp! If you love your dogs, this is the cheese stick for them.
He’s also make an excellent fetch stick as they can go inside or outside. They wash off easily with water.
This is a great investment, especially if you’ve been wasting your money replacing toys for strong jawed dogs!

My puppy loves it!

I have a lab puppy, who is very energetic and very food motivated. She loves this chew! It’s long lasting and durable, but does make a bit of mess, with bits and pieces of the coating falling off as she chewed.

Stains carpet!
Flavor Name: Y-Gnawt, Size: Small
I love the original Y-Gnawt. I can't tell you how long it lasts because my dog still has it. I was excited to try this one. My dog went right after this bone. She got the "meaty" stuff off of it in way under 10 minutes. That was disappointing, but the price point is not much higher than the plain ones so I wasn't too mad about that. Here's where the problem comes in, that "meaty" stuff stained my carpet. Between the dog saliva and moving the bone around I had a quite large stain.
