*Sodium benzoate is not a concern unless you have an allergy to it and there over 5% being used in a product. I would also be concerned if sodium benzoate was mixed with ascorbic acid (not citric acid) because it COULD potentially create a benzene ring (at extreme temps). Sodium benzoate can also be an eye irritant- I wouldn't wipe baby's eyes with this.

Recently, we have updated our formulas by further reducing the amount of sodium benzoate and introducing potassium sorbate, which is an effective plant based preservative.
