This poised Rosé, composed of 92% Chardonnay and 8% Pinot Noir, displays pale salmon hues and a fine, energetic bead. Alluring aromas of freshly gathered red cherries, wild strawberries, and goji berries are complemented by hints of crunchy white nectarine and freshly baked pastries. The palate is exuberant with vibrant minerality, transitioning elegantly from Australian finger lime pearls, racy cherry, and pink rose petal to an energetic sea foam mousse. The delicate dosage enhances the purity of the fruit.

The inaugural vintage of Idée Fixe, meaning 'fixation,' was released in 2020. In 2010, Paul Holmes a Court, owner of Vasse Felix, acquired a 35-hectare plot in Karridale, planting various Chardonnay clones ideal for sparkling wine, along with a small Pinot Noir plot. In 2012, Vasse Felix introduced a cellar door-only Blanc de Blanc, marking the beginning of Idée Fixe. Between 2016 and 2019, Vasse Felix purchased the Watershed vineyards and facilities, which are now dedicated to Idée Fixe. The property is undergoing a comprehensive modernization, including vineyard regrafting and the installation of advanced sparkling winemaking equipment.
