In 1992 it was covered by The Lemonheads, which was really my generation (X)'s introduction to the song, but Evan Dando and The Lemonheads hated the song, Paul Simon hated their version of it, and only Garfunkel was marginally more polite about it (you can almost imagine him saying, 'Eh, it's okay') but clearly his heart wasn't in it either. The movie The Graduate is one of the classic Oedipal stories of our age, so it was very easy to troll through vintage retro pulp paperback covers of the voluptuous cougar to find this magnificent Robert Bonfils cover that dials Mrs. Robinson's gaze up to eleven.
