Charming and symbolic, this pendant features a finely carved mother-of-pearl fly, set in a custom 14k gold mount and bail. Originally part of an antique cufflink (circa 1890–1900), the piece was thoughtfully transformed by our jeweler into a versatile pendant, preserving its antique artistry while enhancing its wearability.
The fly — a motif often associated with resilience, adaptability, and protection in Victorian jewelry — shimmers with the iridescent glow of pale pink mother-of-pearl, lending the jewel both character and delicacy.
The pendant measures approximately 0.9 inches from the top of the bail to the base by 0.65 inches wide, weighs 1.96 grams, and remains in excellent antique condition.
Its gold content has been professionally verified through X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming the authenticity of its 14k gold construction.
