Hand-forged and polished with 12 different procedures, the Katana Yamagata Gold offers a perfect balance between cutting, resistance, weight, and practicality. Its blade, made of T10 steel and gold-plated, is specially designed for impact training, ensuring durability and precision. The blade is full-tang, extending to the end of the handle to ensure sufficient strength for impacts. Rigorously tested (Tameshigiri), this katana is effective in both heavy and light cuts. The handle, wrapped in highly adhesive leather and genuine ray skin dyed black, provides secure and comfortable handling.

The blade of this sword is hand-forged and polished with 12 different procedures using an ancient method. The steel used for the blade is T10 of extreme purity, ensuring a sharp and durable edge.

Electroplating:

The electroplating process gives the blade its distinctive golden color, using modern techniques to create a vibrant and durable surface layer. This is the only contemporary process employed, maintaining all other traditional forging methods.

Tsuba:

Located above the grip, the Tsuba of this sword is ornamented and crafted through metal fusion. It protects the user's hand from sliding onto the blade during training.

The Habaki (Blade Collar):

The Habaki is a metal piece that separates the blade from the scabbard. It has both an aesthetic and functional purpose, ensuring the connection of both. Small scratches are normal due to use.

Hi:

The groove on the blade’s non-cutting side was added to provide audible feedback during use and make the sword lighter without compromising its stability and strength.

Menuki:

The menuki are grip ornaments, one on each side, adding a traditional aesthetic touch and functionality to the sword.

The crafting time for your personalized sword is approximately 15 days. After production, your sword will be shipped directly from Hong Kong, where our forge is located, using the best available air courier at the time.
