Meet the TRENDnet TPE-TG182F, a high-power PoE+ switch engineered to simplify the deployment of power-hungry devices while delivering reliable, gigabit data connectivity. With 16 PoE+ ports and a generous 440W PoE budget, this rack-mountable switch consolidates power and data over a single Ethernet cable, dramatically reducing installation complexity and total cost of ownership. Its 36 Gbps switching capacity ensures smooth, low-latency performance even in environments with multiple IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones, and other networked devices. Whether you’re outfitting a small office, retail space, or campus environment, the TPE-TG182F provides scalable, energy-efficient power delivery and dependable performance for growing networks.

  • Unmatched PoE+ power for a growing network

The 440W total PoE budget on the TPE-TG182F enables you to power up to 16 PoE+ devices without needing separate power injectors or outlets. This is ideal for IP cameras, PTZ cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phones, and other networked devices that require reliable remote power. By consolidating power and data over existing Ethernet cables, you can minimize installation time and wiring clutter, reduce energy costs, and simplify future scalability as your device fleet expands. The PoE+ support (IEEE 802.3at) across the PoE ports ensures ample headroom for higher-demand devices, while per-port negotiation optimizes power usage across the network.

  • 16 Gigabit PoE+ ports plus 2 shared uplink ports for flexible topology

With 16 Gigabit PoE+ ports, every connected device benefits from fast, reliable data transfer and power delivery. The two shared Gigabit ports function as uplinks, providing flexible options to connect to a core switch, router, or aggregation point. This design enables scalable network architectures, allowing you to separate data and power needs while maintaining a clean, streamlined cabling plan. Auto-negotiation and auto-MDIX simplify installation, ensuring plugs work correctly on first try and reducing troubleshooting time in busy deployment scenarios.

  • High-speed 36 Gbps switching capacity for smooth performance

The TRENDnet TPE-TG182F delivers 36 Gbps of switching capacity, providing ample headroom for simultaneous data and PoE traffic across all ports. In practical terms, this means multiple high-definition IP camera streams, VoIP calls, and bandwidth-intensive applications can operate without noticeable latency or congestion. The non-blocking fabric design (where supported) helps ensure that diverse traffic types—surveillance video, voice, and data—aren’t competing for the same bandwidth. This makes the switch well-suited for small-to-medium business deployments, retail environments, and educational facilities where dependable performance matters most.

  • Rack-mountable design for professional deployments

Designed to integrate neatly into standard 19-inch racks, the TPE-TG182F offers a compact 1U form factor with a sturdy metal chassis that stands up to the rigors of daily operation in telecom closets, data centers, and security rooms. The front-panel LED indicators provide at-a-glance status updates for power, link activity, and PoE usage, which helps technicians quickly verify port activity during installation and ongoing maintenance. The rack-mount design, combined with its high PoE budget, makes it an attractive choice for professional deployments where space efficiency and serviceability are priorities.

  • Energy efficiency and simple management for everyday networks

Smart PoE negotiation and energy-aware design optimize power usage across connected devices, reducing waste and cooling requirements in busy environments. The switch’s management capabilities (as provided by TRENDnet’s typical feature sets) enable network administrators to tailor power allocation, monitor port status, and implement traffic priorities to ensure critical services remain functional under load. Clear port indicators and a straightforward layout streamline configuration and ongoing management, helping organizations maintain reliability while controlling operating costs over the device’s lifespan.

How to Install TRENDnet TPE-TG182F

To ensure a smooth deployment, follow these practical steps that align with typical office and enterprise network practices:

  • Step 1: Plan your layout. Identify the devices that will be powered by PoE+ (cameras, APs, phones) and designate the two uplink ports for core switch connections. Map power requirements and place the switch in a secure, accessible location within a standard 19-inch rack or cabinet.
  • Step 2: Mount the switch. Use the included rack-mount hardware to install the TPE-TG182F in your rack. Ensure adequate clearance for cooling and easy access to front-panel ports and indicators for ongoing operation and maintenance.
  • Step 3: Connect power and interconnects. Plug the switch into a reliable AC power source and connect PoE-capable devices to the 16 PoE+ ports. Use Ethernet cables that meet CAT5e or higher standards to ensure reliable Gigabit performance and proper PoE delivery.
  • Step 4: Establish uplinks. Connect the two shared Gigabit ports to your core network or distribution layer switch/router. This creates a scalable topology that supports high-bandwidth traffic while keeping PoE devices distributed across the network.
  • Step 5: Power on and verify. Turn on the switch and observe the status LEDs for each port. Confirm that PoE-enabled devices power on, that uplinks are active, and that network links are established. If available, verify connection speeds and PoE status via your switch’s management interface or console.
  • Step 6: Configure basic network settings. Depending on your network, implement VLANs to segment traffic, enable QoS to prioritize critical services, and set security policies to protect access. For most small to mid-size deployments, starting with a simple, well-documented configuration will provide reliable performance while you scale.
  • Step 7: Monitor and maintain. Regularly review PoE usage, port status, and traffic patterns. Use the front-panel indicators and any available management dashboard to detect power or link issues early, ensuring uptime for critical devices.

The orange ones are perfect!
Size: Medium (Pack of 2), Color: Assorted
I wish I could give 4 1/2 stars but it isn't possible. The reason why I don't give 5 stars is because no one sells these in a 2 pack of just orange balls. I was able to find blue only but not orange only. I have a pitbull and so does my good friend. We take our dogs out all the time and they absolutely love chasing these balls.... The orange ones to be exact. They will not play with or bring the blue balls back. They are a waste. I had to buy 2 packs to keep the oranges. I'm taking the blue ones to the local dog park and just dropping them off. Now to the reason these balls deserve 5 stars: They are super easy to throw and they also make a slight whistling noise when you throw them because of the holes. They are real easy to wash due to the material. Also, they are pretty indestructible. The only reason I'm ordering more is due to them being lost. Our dogs have never torn them apart. I'm sure they could if we let them, but we use these for chase, not as chew toys. My friend also tied a rope through one of the balls to throw and retrieve with the rope. He uses this as a fun indoor toy. These do not float in water but I buy other chuckit balls for that purpose. They have the orange balls with the blue stripe which work great in pools. The balls are awesome and I keep coming back for more. Hopefully your dogs like the blue balls.

Worth the money
Size: Medium (Pack of 2), Color: Assorted
I've had several sizes of Chuck-It ball launchers for years but had resisted buying the balls to go with them because I had about 50 tennis balls already that cost only pennies apiece and these were quite a bit more expensive. But, I got tired of the dogs chewing up the tennis balls. I'd start a ball throwing session with a brand new ball and for the first few throws it would sail through the air and the dogs would have to work to retrieve it. However on the way back, their jaws would work it, chomp-chomp-chomp. And when they returned to me, they'd want to stand there and chomp some more, despite my command to "Drop it!" Within 30 minutes, the brand new ball would have a hole in it and then instead of sailing several football fields through the air, then bouncing over a couple of trees, I'd throw it and it would piddle unenthusiastically to the end of the driveway before falling to the ground with a sulky thud, not even bothering to bounce. So - I finally grew tired of going through a ball every time I play with the dogs - which is everyday - and ordered these chuck-it balls. They are the same size as a tennis ball but made of a rubber-like material (not silicone) and after several months of use, have no wear and tear on them at all. The dogs can exercise their gums on them all the way back to me - throw after throw - and the ball still flies the same distance each time, and bounces satisfyingly upon contact with the ground. The description says "colors may vary" but the first packet I ordered were blue and orange as pictured. Unfortunately my dog lost the orange one the first time we used it. She got thirsty and ran down to our pond for a drink, dropped the ball in the pond and it hasn't been seen since. It is dense enough it doesn't float as a tennis ball might, and by now is probably so covered in mud and slime that I wouldn't recognize it if I tripped over it. Lesson learned: we don't throw the ball in the pond pasture any more. After losing the orange ball, I ordered a second packet of the balls so that I would always have a spare. The second packet is also blue and orange. So while colors may vary, in my experience so far, they haven't (which doesn't matter to me or the dogs).

Super Chewer Friendly!!
Size: Large (Pack of 1), Color: Multi
This ball is perfect for the super Chewer!! It is squishy and durable rubber that stands up to the aggressive chewer. It does not squeak. It has great bounce and is a great toy for fetch. Very cute to watching my pup bring the ball back for another throw. The rubber doesn't stick or have an average powering smell. It smells just like a rubber ball. It is highly functional for a great game of fetch! Highly recommend and very happy with our purchase. It is well worth the price. We will be ordering more.

Our dog is addicted
Size: Medium (1 Pack)
I’ve bought so many of these, our 65lb golden loves them. She also loves to leave them outside in bushes never to be found again. She also seems to love just carrying them around like they are her therapy toy, They stand up to a LOT of chewing while playing fetch, and sometimes on the way back in the house. I’ve never seen a puncture but wouldn’t suggest leaving them unattended or using them as chew toys. They bounce great on packed dirt and have a faint whistle if thrown hard enough.
