Often called "Accident Park," "Class Action Park," or "Traction Park," Action Park was an American icon. Entertaining more than a million people a year in the 1980s, the New Jersey-based amusement playland placed no limits on danger or fun, a monument to the anything-goes spirit of the era that left guests in control of their own adventures--sometimes with tragic results. Though it closed its doors in 1996 after nearly twenty years, it has remained a subject of constant fascination ever since, an establishment completely anathema to our modern culture of rules and safety. Action Park is the first-ever unvarnished look at the history of this DIY Disneyland, as seen through the eyes of Andy Mulvihill, the son of the park's idiosyncratic founder, Gene Mulvihill. Baby’s first chapter book but not durable.
Format: Paperback
This is a great book. It teaches a lot of important lessons. I call it a chapter book because it was longer than most books that you read to a toddler, and had different lessons spread thought out. Unfortunately, this book was not durable and a high energy toddler was able to rip it to pieces and shreds. This was still a good book and I would recommend it to all parents who enjoy reading to their children.

Great Way to Teach Manners and Appropriate Behavior
Format: Paperback
When I read this book, I found myself nodding my head so much and lovind the lessons taught. There is a story about the little pig who said "I won't" whenever his mom asked him for help. Then he learns he is missing out by always not wanting to help when his brother "I will" gets to have a fun day at the dock. Sweet little stories about how to act appropriately when you are a guest and how to treat others. It is just darling. My daughter LOVES it because she watches the Richard Scary cartoons on Saturday about solving mysteries. She keeps asking me to read this book to her. I love being able to teach these lessons through this darling book. Highly recommended. :)

My 2 yr old son LOVES this book
Format: Paperback
I bought this for my son to introduce him to saying please and thank you in a manner that wasn't me (his mom) or his dad constantly asking him to say it. Now he reads through this book at least once a day (he has for the past 3 months that we've had this book), and he recites to me all the things that you should do and all the things that you shouldn't do. He points out who is good and who is bad in the book. And when he acts up all I have to say to him is "does Lowly worm (or whoever I can remember) do that in the book? Is he rude?" and instantly he is reminded to not act a certain way. It's much more effective than me asking him to stop. This is a book that should be in every child's library. I read the "top" review here, whatever that means, where the reviewer stated they didst' like the book because it was too negative. That review reeks of a nanny parent; please get over yourself. Give me a break - you are and adult and a parent, you are not your child's friend and a healthy dose of Vitamin NO is exactly what every 2 yr old needs. Highly highly highly recommend for all parents of very young children.
