The Da-Lite Tensioned Advantage 247" Electric Projection Screen redefines ceiling recessed projection with a clean, professional finish. Engineered to install with the ceiling trim already in place, it conceals the rough opening and eliminates the need for extra trim work after mounting. The two-stage installation option lets the screen case be mounted during rough-in, simplifying wiring and alignment while delivering a flawless, flush look once the ceiling is completed. This screen is designed for high-traffic environments like classrooms, conference rooms, corporate lobbies, and home theaters, combining durable engineering with precise image quality for long-term performance.

  • Concealed opening for a professional aesthetic: The ceiling trim is built to hide rough openings, creating a seamless, theater-like appearance that preserves sightlines and reduces visible gaps. This feature is especially valuable in finished ceilings, where cosmetic perfection matters just as much as projection clarity.
  • Two-stage installation for streamlined setup: Install the screen case during rough-in or after ceiling finishes, giving contractors and integrators flexible scheduling. This approach minimizes on-site disruption, improves alignment accuracy, and shortens commissioning time while ensuring the final reveal is clean and uniform.
  • Efficient electric operation and reliable performance: The motorized mechanism delivers smooth, quiet operation with predictable raise and lower cycles. Ideal for daily use in education and business environments, the system reduces maintenance downtime and keeps distractions to a minimum during presentations.
  • Premium tensioning for a flat, waviness-free image: The tensioned surface maintains flatness across the full width of the screen, preventing waves and texture irregularities that can degrade image quality. This yields a crisp, uniform picture that holds up under bright projector outputs and varying room lighting.
  • Flexible surface options and generous viewing size: Designed to accommodate large venues, the 247" diagonal size supports a wide range of projectors and seating configurations. When paired with compatible surface options, it delivers accurate color reproduction, wide viewing angles, and strong contrast in both dim and ambient-light settings.

How to install Da-Lite Tensioned Advantage 247" Electric Projection Screen

  • Plan and verify space: Before any installation, measure the ceiling opening, confirm structural support, and verify ceiling trim compatibility. Ensure room lighting and projector placement are aligned with the selected screen size to maximize image quality and viewing comfort.
  • Prepare the rough opening (Stage 1): If using the two-stage option, install the screen case during rough-in. Secure the mounting channel or studs, verify plumb and level, and run conduit or cables for power and control as required by local codes. This stage prioritizes precise alignment while the ceiling is still open.
  • Mount and align the case (Stage 2): When finishing the ceiling, position the screen case, tighten mounting hardware, and confirm the case is square with the room. Check vertical and horizontal alignment, ensuring the screen plane is perpendicular to the viewing area for the cleanest image.
  • Connect hardware and test operation: Attach the power supply and control device (remote or wall switch), then run a full raise and lower cycle. Listen for smooth, quiet operation and verify there is no snagging or binding in the roller mechanism or fabric edge.
  • Finish the trim and calibrate image: Install the final ceiling trim to conceal the rough opening and the screen housing. Align the image with the projector’s throw ratio, adjust focus and keystone as needed, and perform a final image check across the entire width for uniform brightness and color accuracy.

Do it yourself
Size: 38"Height × 14" Wide
I purchased a similar set to custom make a dining room table out of butcher block, and it turned out perfect. So with the left over butcher block I purchased these legs and made the perfect kitchen island to match. It is very sturdy and a great price. Everyone wants to know where I purchased it from. I also put a piece of the butcher block across the lower bars and made a lower shelf. Love love love this.

Plan your project right & these will look great!
Size: 38"Height × 14" Wide
These are great legs for a table. They are sturdy and go together nicely. The painted finish is well done, meaning it doesn't scratch or peel or come off easily. Also the way things were packaged was considerate of the weight and possibility of damage during shipment. There were even extra attachment screws included which was helpful since I lost one under the dishwasher. When considering what legs to purchase for your particular table, the height, dimensions, and weight of the top all need to be factored in. I used these bar height legs under a very heavy, 7' long X 2' wide top. Common physics dictates that there will be lateral movement between the 2 "H" shaped leg sets. There HAS to be support between the 2 H leg sets to prevent that lateral movement. So these alone will not support a long table very well, because physics. This is not in any way the fault of this product. Be aware that there is more to the stability equation and be prepared to add cross bracing to your project.
