Enhance your enterprise network with the Aerohive SFP+ Module, a high-performance 10GBASE-LR transceiver engineered for reliable long-haul connectivity. This single-mode, LC-connected SFP+ module is designed for data centers, campus networks, and WAN deployments where precision, endurance, and scalable deployment matter. With an extended temperature rating and a convenient 8-pack packaging, it’s the ideal upgrade or spare part to keep your fiber links running smoothly across demanding environments.

  • 10 Gbps performance delivers fast, scalable uplinks and downlinks for core, aggregation, and edge networks, enabling low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity for virtualization, cloud services, and high-demand applications.
  • Long-haul reach up to 10 km over single-mode fiber using a 1310 nm wavelength, enabling seamless connections between buildings, data centers, and remote sites without repeaters.
  • LC duplex connectors and single-mode fiber compatibility ensure industry-standard interoperability with a wide range of switches, routers, and optical networks, offering flexibility in mixed-vendor environments.
  • Extended temperature range for harsh environments, data centers with ambient temperature fluctuations, and outdoor or unconditioned spaces where reliability is paramount.
  • 8-pack packaging provides cost-effective stocking, quick replacement, and simplified inventory management for IT teams managing large-scale fiber deployments.

How to install Aerohive SFP+ Module

  • Prepare the device: Verify that the host switch or router supports SFP+ modules and that you have the correct SFP+ slot available. If your equipment supports hot-swapping, ensure you follow vendor guidelines to minimize disruption.
  • Power considerations: In most environments, SFP+ modules are hot-swappable. If your device requires a restart for the new module to be recognized, plan for a brief maintenance window or perform during a scheduled maintenance period.
  • Remove existing module (if applicable): Gently release any latches or locking mechanisms and carefully pull the existing module straight out from the SFP+ slot.
  • Insert the Aerohive SFP+ Module: Align the module with the slot, ensuring the connector pins are properly oriented. Slide it in firmly until it sits flush and the latch clicks into place to indicate a secure connection.
  • Connect optical fiber: Prepare your single-mode fiber with the appropriate LC connectors. Clean the fiber ends, insert the LC connectors into the module, and route fiber paths to prevent strain. Verify that the link and optical diagnostics indicate a healthy connection.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What devices are compatible with the Aerohive SFP+ Module?
A: The Aerohive SFP+ LR module is designed for use with Aerohive networking devices and other vendor equipment that supports MSA-standard SFP+ transceivers. It is ideal for mixed-vendor environments where SFP+ LR modules are required for long-haul fiber links.
  • Q: Can I use this module for 10G links between buildings?
A: Yes. With a reach up to 10 kilometers on single-mode fiber, this module is well-suited for inter-building connectivity, data centers, and campus networks requiring high-bandwidth, long-distance links.
  • Q: Is this module hot-swappable?
A: In most modern network devices, SFP+ modules are hot-swappable. However, always consult your device’s documentation before handling hardware to prevent any potential disruption.
  • Q: What type of fiber and connectors do I need?
A: You will need single-mode fiber with LC duplex connectors. Ensure the fiber is properly terminated, cleaned, and free of defects to maintain optimal link quality.
  • Q: Does the 8-pack cover all my deployment needs?
A: The 8-pack packaging provides a convenient supply for bulk deployments, replacements, and spares, but you may still need to match the total number of links and redundancy requirements for your network design.
  • Q: Are there any warranty or support considerations?
A: Aerohive SFP+ modules typically come with manufacturer support and warranty terms. Check the official warranty policy from the vendor for coverage details and RMA processes.

Solid Kids Sandals, Overpriced Like Most Kids Shoes 🌞
Size: 11 Little Kid, Color: Brown, Size: 11 Little Kid, Color: Brown
My son hasn’t worn these yet since it’s December in Indiana and sandals + snow obviously don’t mix. 😂 So this review is based on first impressions rather than long term wear. That said, these seem wider than a lot of typical kids’ sandals, which I REALLY appreciate since we tend to have wider feet in our family. #hobbitfeet The quality feels pretty decent overall. They’re described as lightweight, and while they’re not insanely lightweight, they do have enough weight to feel semi-sturdy and not flimsy or cheap. I like the style and color, and I think they’ll work well for my son once warmer weather hits. My main complaint is the price. At just under $24 at the time of this review, it feels a little high for kids’ sandals and for what these are. I really feel like $20 MAX would make more sense. Kids shoes are almost always priced like adult shoes, even though they clearly use less material, and that’s hard for me to understand and wrap my mind around. Overall, these seem solid for daily wear, I just wish the price was a bit more reasonable and affordable.
