Light As A Feather was the second studio album by Chick Corea’s groundbreaking jazz fusion group Return to Forever, following the band’s 1972 debut that introduced their distinctive sound. The album features Corea on electric piano, Joe Farrell on flute and soprano and tenor saxophones, Stanley Clarke on double bass, Airto Moreira on drums and percussion, and vocals by Flora Purim.

All the compositions were written by Corea and showcase the group’s lyrical and melodic approach to jazz fusion. The album includes the timeless classic “Spain,” inspired by Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, which received Grammy nominations and has since become one of the most performed jazz compositions of all time.

Widely regarded as a landmark jazz fusion recording, Light As A Feather was named 1972 Playboy Jazz Album of the Year and continues to be celebrated as one of the greatest jazz LPs ever made. Presented here on 140-gram virgin vinyl with the original artwork.
