What is an English Ocarina?

These ocarinas are 4-hole instruments which may not sound like a lot, but you can play 14 different notes within the full octave of D to D. And due to their shape, each note produces a charming tone, every time.

Each instrument is manufactured in the UK from impact resistant plastic making them ideal in a classroom where they may be dropped or hit on a table.

Benefits of the ocarina

These ocarinas are accessible, and they produce a wonderfully clear and gentle sound, allowing everyone to express their musical creativity. Simplicity aids creativity, and with a limited number of holes to cover, pre-school children and pupils with the use of only one hand can play specially adapted 4-hole music on the one-handed ocarinas. Students who may struggle to read music can read and follow the ocarina tablature.
