Its black blade, obtained through the galvanization process, not only provides an impressive aesthetic but also unmatched durability. Sharp and resilient, the Hariken has passed all cutting tests (Tameshigiri), proving effective for both heavy and light cuts.

The blade of the Ninjato Hariken is hand-forged and polished with 12 different procedures, using carbon steel of extreme purity. This ancient process ensures a sharp, durable, and visually impressive blade, with a black appearance obtained through the galvanization process.

Tsuba:

The Tsuba, located above the sheath, is ornate and made through metal fusion. It serves to protect the user's hand from slipping onto the blade during training.

Habaki (Blade Collar):

The Habaki is a metal piece that separates the blade of the sword from the sheath, serving both aesthetic and functional purposes, ensuring a firm union of both. Small scratches are normal due to use.

Hi:

The groove on the side of the blade opposite the edge has been added to provide audible feedback during practice and to make the sword lighter without compromising its stability and strength.
