The new Pacific collection, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso, creates intimacy in the almost "protective" seat, for an enveloping idea of comfortable relaxation. With its round and oversized shapes, it evokes the relaxed atmosphere of the American West Coast, from which it takes its name. Pacific is the continuation of the design process that began with the iconic Redondo collection created by Patricia Urquiola in 2010. "It is the evolution of a collection that in recent years has been and is still very successful also for the innovative and luxurious use of", says Patrizia Moroso, the company's Art Director. "With Pacific, on the other hand, we worked more on the plan shape and on the current return of curved and generous lines". In the Pacific sofa, the soft shapes are enhanced and defined by the total absence of edges and by the "couture" details. The soft and woolly fabric, chosen to create an extraordinary tactile effect, can be, for example, a refined bouclé, a soft wool, or a luxurious velvet.
