Five compositions by the Berlin-based electroacoustic/industrial collective Column One in stunning interpretations by Zeitkratzer, recorded live at Berghain during MaerzMusik 2012. Since their inception in 1997, Zeitkratzer have built a reputation for their unique approach, their outstanding and internationally acclaimed members, and their adventurous projects that include collaborations with noise musicians like Merzbow and Zbigniew Karkowski, rock 'n' roll experimentalists like Lou Reed and William Bennett (Whitehouse), electronic musicians like Carsten Nicolai and Terre Thaemlitz, reinterpretations of Schönberg and Bach, as well as performances of music by composers such as Helmut Lachenmann, James Tenney, and Karlheinz Stockhausen. Column One and Zeitkratzer first worked together in the late '90s at Podewil, which was at that time the most influential and vanguard location in Berlin. For these compositions, presented here for the first time, Column One's mastermind Robert Schalinski developed five scores for acoustic instruments based on electroacoustic sound files. These scores were transcribed by Reinhold Friedl and the Zeitkratzer musicians, refining and working them out together, using the complexity and sensuality of their amplified instrumental sound that matches perfectly the "industrial musique concrète" of the Berlin-based artist collective (which Rashad Becker joined in 2013) who cite Dada and the Surrealists as important influences. Pressed on 180-gram vinyl; presented in gatefold sleeve; includes download code. Limited to 300 copies.

Dogs love them. Durable. Chew worthy for a beagle and a German shepherd. You cannot smell the flavor imparted but the pups definitely can. Always purchase the amount you need so each dog can have one.

Come on.. these balls are the best. They smell like bacon, yes, they really do. They are durable and squeak. Upon aggressive play, the squeak will die out but the ball will still be useable.

She LOVES this ball

Our dog likes toys, but this ball is now her favorite ball. She even took it to bed with her last night. Our dog is 65 pounds, but she likes smaller toys so I ordered the small ball. It’s a good size. It’s nice and soft and squeaks. She seems to kills the squeaker right away, but she didn’t with this ball. It seems to be the least amount of money I’ve spent on a toy for her and it’s her favorite. I ordered another one just to have on hand. This toy is a great bargain!

Not Durable Enough for a Dachshund to be Left Alone With (Updated)

I just received these balls today and got one out for my daughter's Dachshund. She loved it for about 15 minutes and then gnawed a huge chunk out of it. It was in the garbage within 20 minutes of receiving it. I'm not even going to give her the other ones. We had an issue once before where she was chewing on her Kong and swallowed some pieces. It messed up her digestion for quite a while. Not taking the chance with these balls. Too bad because they have nice bounce and good squeak. She was thrilled with it until we saw that she ruined it and we quickly took it away from her. If you have a Dachshund or other aggressive chewer, I'd look for something else.
UPDATE - I've bumped up the rating by 2 stars, changed the review title, and ordered another set. We found that we can't leave the dog alone with the ball, but if we use it to play with her, we can monitor when she starts to aggressively gnaw at it. So now, it's more of a fetch ball and we've taught her how to stop gnawing it and drop it for another chase. They still give in to her sharp little teeth more easily than other toys, but she really loves them and gets so excited when we get one out. It's easily her favorite toy, and who doesn't want to see their pup happy?! It's definitely not a chew toy, but it's been great as a fetch ball. If you go into it with that understanding, you and your pup will both be happier with the product.

Our dogs went crazy for these the moment we opened the pack. They’re durable, super bouncy, and easily became the new favorite toys in the house. The only thing to know is that the squeak is loud — like “I need to take this away for a minute” loud. But honestly, that’s probably why the dogs love them so much. Great value for a 3‑pack and perfect for pups who enjoy a good squeaky toy.
