Traditional frazadas like this one are colored with natural plant dyes and are woven, over the course of 1 month, on a backstrap loom. They are made in 2 narrow panels that are then stitched together to form the frazada. This one contains the Quechua symbol for olas or waves throughout its beautiful pattern.
