To meditate on ivory and learn more about elephants- I made this small painting of a huge subject, toned in degrees of gray against a white background looking at the viewer. A mountain that rises from the east over the Missoula Valley is named Jumbo after the circus elephant-I was thinking all of these thoughts as I drew the Elephant Study”

Elephant Study was completed in pencil, watercolor and acrylic on #300 Arches watercolor paper in 2018 and is displayed with a gold frame and floated on linen with glass
