The Cisco NCS 5500 1X200G CFP2 + 2X100G QSFP28 MPA is a high-performance port adapter designed to dramatically boost the scalability and efficiency of your data networking infrastructure. Built for service providers and enterprise networks, this MPA (module port adapter) delivers flexible, multi-rate connectivity that accelerates modernization efforts, supports complex traffic patterns, and reduces total cost of ownership. Whether you are upgrading an existing chassis, expanding capacity, or creating resilient, multi-service backbones, this Cisco MPA helps you unlock next-level performance with precision and reliability.

  • Flexible, multi-rate connectivity: A single 200G CFP2 port pairs with two 100G QSFP28 ports, enabling versatile deployment scenarios. Use the 200G channel for spine or core links that demand ultra-high throughput, while leveraging the 100G ports for deterministic access at the edge or for aggregated links in leaf architectures.
  • Compact, scalable design for NCS 5500 series: Engineered to integrate seamlessly into Cisco NCS 5500 chassis, the MPA maximizes port density without compromising space or manageability. Its modular approach supports growth as your network scales, helping you future-proof your network investments.
  • Optimized for carrier-grade reliability: Built to withstand demanding data-center and service-provider environments, this adapter emphasizes robust power delivery, thermal performance, and signal integrity. The MPA is designed for continuous operation with minimal maintenance, enabling operators to focus on service delivery rather than hardware concerns.
  • Easy integration with Cisco management tools: Designed to work with Cisco’s extensive management ecosystem, the MPA supports streamlined provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Operators benefit from unified visibility across interfaces, QoS policies, and traffic analytics to drive guaranteed performance.
  • Energy-conscious efficiency: The port adapter balances high throughput with efficient power use, contributing to lower operational costs and a cooler data center environment. This makes it suitable for large-scale deployments where power and cooling budgets are scrutinized.

how to install Cisco NCS 5500 1X200G CFP2 + 2X100G QSFP28 MPA

  • Power down the NCS 5500 chassis and prepare the slot for a module port adapter. Verify there is no pending maintenance activity that could affect service continuity.
  • Insert the MPA firmly into the appropriate I/O slot designated for port adapters in the Cisco NCS 5500 family. Ensure the connector is fully seated and the locking mechanism engages securely.
  • Connect the necessary fiber or copper cables to the CFP2 and QSFP28 ports. Use compliant CFP2-200G and QSFP28-100G transceivers and cables as specified for your deployment scenario.
  • Power on the chassis and boot to the Cisco management plane. Verify the MPA is recognized by the system and that each port negotiates to the correct speed with connected devices.
  • Configure interface settings using your preferred Cisco management workflow (for example, Cisco IOS XR or related network management tools). Apply QoS, routing, and traffic engineering policies as required to meet service-level agreements.

Works Perfect, No Installation Needed, Perfect Size, and Wonderful Price!
Several months ago when the keys on my laptop mouse pad started to go out, I was really irritated because I have gotten so used to using the mouse pad that I was worried that I wouldn't be able to work as efficiently using a wireless mouse. I knew that it would only be a few days before the keys got to the point that I wouldn't be able to use them and started looking on Amazon for a wireless mouse that I might possibly be able to stand using on a daily basis. I spotted the AmazonBasics Wireless Mouse and thought that it wouldn't be that great because it was way cheaper than most of the other wireless ones that I could find. I went ahead and placed my order because I needed something and thought that if it didn't work that well, I wouldn't be out of that much money. When it arrived, I was happy to see that it was a tad bit smaller than other ones that I have used with desktops in the past since I have small hands. I opened the package, popped in some batteries, plugged the nano receiver into my USB slot, and it was working instantly. I thought that it would take some time to install ( I did not read much on it when I purchased it honestly, I just needed one quick!), but was SO happy to see that it needed nothing to be installed. I have been using this wireless mouse for about a year and half now and I have recommended it to SO many people who were looking for one. I work at home on my laptop 7 days a week and anywhere between 12 - 18 hours a day. I only have to change the batteries about once every two months (sometimes it will go a little longer and sometimes a little bit less - not sure on why though). This mouse has worked flawlessly since the day of purchase and I was SO wrong to think that because it was cheaper than the others that it wouldn't work as well. There has never been a time where it disconnected from the computer or that there was any issue using it. A few times when it has needed the batteries changed and I wait a few days, there is a tiny lag - but that is all my fault. The AmazonBasics Wireless Mouse has a little red indicator light that lets you know when the batteries are getting low and need to be changed. I like that feature so that I'm always aware of when they need to be changed. Since I travel a lot, this mouse is great because it doesn't take up a lot of space in the laptop bag. I also never have to worry about losing the nano receiver because once you remove the little door to the battery area, there is actually a space that the nano receiver clicks into making it perfect for travel. If you are in the market for a great wireless mouse, I would recommend the AmazonBasics Wireless Mouse because it has been through over a year of my all day, everyday use and still works just like the day that I purchased it!

It works and is well priced.
This mouse works as well as much higher-priced brand-name items. It fits well in the hand. The durability is very good. Considering the price compared to other brand names, this is a very good value.

Solid Everyday Mouse with a Few Comfort Trade-Offs
I’ve been using this Amazon Basics 2.4 GHz wireless optical mouse as a simple, no-frills option, and overall it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Setup was instant with the USB nano receiver, tracking is accurate, and the wireless connection has been reliable with no dropouts or lag during daily use. It’s lightweight and works well for general browsing and office tasks. Where it falls a bit short for me is ergonomics. Compared to my Logitech mouse, this one doesn’t feel quite as natural or contoured in the hand during longer sessions. It’s by no means uncomfortable, just not as refined in terms of hand fit. That said, for the price and simplicity, it’s a dependable mouse that gets the job done. A solid choice if you want something basic and reliable.

Love it
I’m honestly impressed with this mouse. The Wireless Optical Mouse works exactly as it should—simple, reliable, and smooth. Setup was instant, just plug in the USB receiver and it’s ready to go. No lag or connectivity issues at all. The tracking is precise, and it feels comfortable even after long use. The battery life is solid, and I like that it goes into sleep mode to save power. It’s lightweight but still feels well-built, not cheap. For the price, this is a great value. If you need a dependable wireless mouse without overpaying for unnecessary features, this is a perfect choice.
