Experience cinematic and presentation-grade visuals with the Elite Screens Spectrum Tab-Tension. This electric projection screen is a standout within Elite’s Spectrum CE-Retail line, delivering not only a large 125-inch diagonal display but also superior surface flatness that flatters every image. The key to its crisp, uniform results lies in the tab-tension reinforcements mounted along the sides of the screen fabric, which actively pull the material taut to counteract curling and waviness that can occur with large screens. The result is a pristine viewing surface that remains perfectly flat from edge to edge, providing an immersive experience whether you’re running the latest 4K HDR content, dynamic gaming, or high-stakes business presentations. The Spectrum Tab-Tension is designed with reliability and ease of use in mind, offering a clean, professional appearance that blends with home theaters, media rooms, conference spaces, classrooms, and other environments where a high-quality projection surface matters. This model’s 125-inch diagonal and 16:9 aspect ratio are a natural choice for modern widescreen content, providing the familiar cinematic frame while maximizing image brightness and detail across the screen. As part of Elite Screens’ CE-Retail line, it balances robust performance with a consumer-friendly footprint and installation process, making it a popular option for both installers and enthusiasts who demand precise image geometry and dependable operation. If you’re upgrading from a smaller screen or seeking a more stable, warp-resistant surface, the Spectrum Tab-Tension delivers a tangible upgrade in picture fidelity, with a design that minimizes distortion and preserves clarity across the viewing area.

  • Tab-Tension reinforcements along the sides actively tension the screen fabric, delivering superior flatness and reducing image distortion at the edges for a cleaner, more uniform picture.
  • 125-inch diagonal with a 16:9 aspect ratio, providing a cinematic widescreen experience ideal for movies, sports, gaming, and professional presentations in both home and commercial spaces.
  • Part of Elite Screens Spectrum CE-Retail line, combining professional-grade performance with a streamlined, consumer-friendly design that simplifies installation and operation.
  • Electric projection screen configuration, designed to retract and deploy smoothly, delivering a neat, unobtrusive installation with a clean enclosure that integrates well with modern interiors.
  • Durable construction and high-quality screen fabric are built to withstand regular use in home theaters, classrooms, and meeting rooms, maintaining vibrant color accuracy and sharp image rendition over time.

How to install Elite Screens Spectrum Tab-Tension

Installing the Spectrum Tab-Tension is straightforward for both new installations and upgrades. Start by choosing a mounting location that accommodates the 125" diagonal and provides clear clearance for full extension. Use a level to ensure the mounting surface is perfectly horizontal, as even small misalignments can affect the screen’s operation and image alignment. Attach sturdy mounting brackets to wall studs or ceiling supports, following the manufacturer’s weight ratings and installation guidelines. Once the brackets are secured, hang the screen housing securely on them, then verify that the fabric retracts and extends smoothly without snagging the tab-tension fabric or hitting nearby objects. Connect the power supply to a dedicated outlet, and, if included with your model, pair any remote or control switch as directed by the owner’s manual. Finally, power on the system and perform a full travel and alignment test, checking for even edge-to-edge image focus and ensuring the tab-tension reinforcements maintain flatness across the surface during operation. Regularly inspect the mounting hardware and clean the screen surface with a soft, dry microfiber cloth to preserve brightness and color accuracy over time.

  • Plan the mounting location with viewing distance and ceiling height in mind to optimize seating placement and minimize glare.
  • Mount wall or ceiling brackets securely to solid construction, ensuring level alignment for proper fabric tracking.
  • Hang the screen housing and verify smooth deployment and retraction without interference or binding.
  • Connect power and any available control interfaces (remote, wall switch, or integration system) following the manual.
  • Power the unit and run a test sequence to confirm edge-to-edge flatness, image alignment, and quiet operation during use.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What makes Tab-Tension different from standard projection screens?

  • Q: Is the Spectrum Tab-Tension suitable for 4K content?
A: Yes. The 125" diagonal and 16:9 aspect ratio are well suited for widescreen 4K content, providing sharp, bright images with accurate geometry when paired with an appropriate projector and high-quality projection surface.
  • Q: Does this model come with mounting hardware?
A: The Spectrum Tab-Tension is designed for straightforward installation and typically ships with the necessary mounting hardware per Elite Screens standards. Always check the product packaging or your seller’s listing for the exact inclusions.
  • Q: Can the screen be installed on both walls and ceilings?
A: The Spectrum Tab-Tension is designed for flexible installation, compatible with wall- or ceiling-mounted setups depending on your room layout and projector placement.
  • Q: How do I maintain the screen over time?

The squeak might die the ball does not.
Color: Orange Squeak Toy, Size: Medium
If you want to cut to the chase YES THIS PRODUCT WORKS, if you want more details then continue reading. So for starters, we have a 75 pound Doberman whom we call "The Destroyer of All Things". Anything she can tear into (toy wise) she will dismantle in a matter of minutes. It's been very frustrating trying to find toys that will last long enough to occupy her playtime without us feeling like we may as just hand her money to shred up and throw in the garbage. I will say that my dog, however, is also a "picky" destroyer and will not simply chew and destroy and play with just any toy. I bought her a solid hard rubber ball once that weighed a ton and because it was so stiff and had zero give and was actually indestructible (to her standers) but, she played with it for a matter of 30 seconds before never touching it again. If it's too solid and indestructible she gets no satisfaction from it and won't play with it, which is also a waste of money since it's been sitting at the bottom of her toy bin ever since. So trying to find a toy that is a balance of fun for her and durable for our pockets was a hard task, until now. My husband somehow stumbled upon this ball and hopeful from all the glowing reviews (but still skeptical so we wouldn't be disappointed if it didn't work) we ordered it immediately. We have NOT been disappointed thus far and she's had it for a month!! Just like some reviews have said, the squeak did not last long, but that wasn't surprising. Our dog's favorite toys used to be the yellow tennis style kong balls and she'd have the squeak killed in a matter of seconds until it only wheezed and then she'd tear up the ball itself. Which is why we needed to find a replacement that she could shred into tiny rubber pieces all over my floor. This ball really truly was not annoying when is squeaked, until the piercing shrieking noise the Kong tennis balls made this one was pretty chill on the noise level and I didn't mind it at all while it worked. If the squeaker hadn't died I wouldn't have been driven up the wall with the noise and bonus my dog still loved it either way. But, the squeak didn't last long, maybe a few minutes at most. However, I continued and continue to monitor this ball for any other signs of defeat and have yet to find ANY. Not a tooth mark, not a nick, nothing, nada, ZILCH. This ball is soft enough that it has some give when she chomps down on it, but it's durable enough to bounce back and not snap or crack or break under pressure. The give my dog gets from chewing on it keeps her attention because I think it gives her some false sense of hope that she might still be able to destroy it. So even after a month, she's not lost interest. Also, even though the squeak has died when she chomps down on the ball it sort of makes a clicking/suctioning noise which also makes her very happy to play with it. She loves it when we toss it down the hallway because of the softer rubber it has a rather unpredictable bounce and so she never quite knows where it's going to go. Highly recommended and I cannot wait to test out other products from this brand and buy her a couple of more balls to have around the house in replacement to her old Kong balls.

Good dog product
Color: Pink Squeak Toy, Size: Medium
We’ve had the squeak balls for many years. The squeaker doesn’t last long with an aggressive chewer. Our dog squeaks the ball so much, she makes the ball split. We remove the squeaker and the ball continues to be used for a few years until it splits enough we throw them out. The ball has good bounce. We leave them outside all year and they have lasted thru snow and hot weather. The ball has been 2 of our dog’s favorite toy.

Extremely durable even for destructo-dogs!
Color: Orange Squeak Toy, Size: Medium
I got this for our chew-monster Bruce, a very large German Shepherd & (we think) Great Dane mix, after he repeatedly demonstrated his ability to utterly destroy the large Kong squeaky tennis balls within a matter of minutes. He LOVES some squeak, so he obsessively squeaks his toys until they're crushed. After some research on longer-lasting toys, I splurged on one of these, fully intending to guilt the dog forever if he destroyed this much more expensive toy. It's been 2 months, and this ball is not only still squeaking, but it isn't chewed or destroyed AT ALL, despite Bruce's best attempts! It's smaller than his other balls, and because it's a slicker texture, it slides out of his mouth more easily. However, it squeaks when it hits the ground, and he can entertain himself with it for long periods of time. Pros: - Super durable - Squeaker is molded in so it can't come out (unlike the other toys we've bought) - Bright orange is WAY easier to see in the grass than stained green/yellow tennis balls - Easy to clean Cons: - I wish it were slightly larger, because his mouth is so big. No issues with swallowing it or anything, but if they had an XL size (like other super-large sized balls) we'd go for it. Orbee, let us know if you decide to upsize! - It doesn't squeak quite as easily as other squeak balls, but Bruce figured out how to make it work. He sometimes will even hold it against the ground to squeak it faster. - It doesn't squeak as loudly as the faux tennis ball kinds, but wait...that's not a bad thing. It's still loud enough for him to enjoy, without the neighborhood rioting. Overall I can't recommend this toy enough. We feel safe letting him play with it since the squeaker can't come out, and it's paid for itself repeatedly - we were going through a 6-pack of squeaky tennis balls per week (or more!), and haven't had to buy any in the last 2 months because this ball is still in pristine condition.
