Crankshaft-driven accessories like the alternator and power steering pump take horsepower to turn?horsepower that could be going to your rear wheels. aFe found that be reducing the size of the crankshaft accessory drive pulley, they could underdrive the accessory pulleys and reduce the power consumed by the accessories (parasitic loss), without affecting their operation. Your alternator, power steering and anything else driven by the crankshaft pulley still function effectively, but more power is now available for the driveline. You get more horsepower and torque for increased performance.
The aFe power pulley is not only a great performance enhancing product; it's a product that will also look great under the hood. It's CNC machined from billet aluminum, and then black anodized for an aggressive look. It comes with new accessory drive belts that are properly sized for the new pulley. All of the included mounting hardware is made to BMW specifications. And the Power Pulley won't affect factory crankshaft harmonics or damping.
