The item is equipped with a fork that prevents the upward movement of the horse's head, acting directly on the bit by means of the reins passing through the ring placed at the end of the fork.
The reins must be used with stoppers, otherwise the martingale can slide forward and get caught on the bit ring, blocking the horse's head and risking to make it fall.
Each strap or buckle is adjustable so that the breastplate can be perfectly adapted to any type of horse.
It features a decoration with brass clincher.
