Donald Calloway, MIC, shares a gem or quote on Mary for each day of the year drawn from the writings of the Popes, Saints, Blesseds, and Venerables, which makes the book ideal for daily prayer and reflection. Father Calloway has arranged the gems with the Church Year in mind, so that whenever possible the quote complements a Marian feast day, a Saint’s feast day, or a particular liturgical season.

For each day, Fr. Calloway also provides a title of Our Lady, which you can use in closing your time of prayer. When these gems first appeared in his book Under the Mantle, many readers loved them and suggested he publish them in a separate book for daily prayer. He began collecting them when he was a seminarian.

I love the Talalay latex for the quality, and that there is no smell. However, it is too high for my neck. I wish the company would make it in a 3" version, instead of just 5.5". They do have a "slim" version, but it is not even the same kind of pillow. It measures 2.5" and the back side is completely flat, so you can not turn it in over for use. The company basically took this 5.5" version and cut it in half for the slim.
