This Full Gothic style Chasuble is a recreation of the historic chasuble that Watts restored for St Paul’s Knightsbridge. The main fabric is in Cream ‘Gothic’ silk damask, with ‘Y’ shaped orphreys of Sarum Red ‘Holbein’ silk damask, edged with Sarum Red ½” Trail braid.
The neckline and hemline are trimmed with Sarum Red Diamond & Lay small cord. The lining is in Sarum Red cotton sateen.
The front and back of the chasuble is adorned with embroidered motifs of angels, flowers, and leaves.
The orphreys are embroidered with leaves, grapes, and vines.
The back of the chasuble features a Christ in Sunburst design embroidered at the centre point of the orphreys.
