Frequently Asked Questions

Is "unscented" actually unscented, or is there a masking fragrance?
Truly unscented. We do not add masking fragrances. The natural slight sweetness from the raw honey, jojoba, and olive oil fades within minutes of application.

Will it smell like beef?
No. Quality grass-fed tallow that's been properly rendered has almost no scent. Unscented users describe the product as "neutral" or "no smell" within minutes of application.

Is this safe for eczema-prone skin?
Yes. Many customers with eczema-prone skin use it daily. The jojoba is infused with chamomile and calendula — two botanicals long valued for sensitive, reactive skin — and there are no fragrance or essential oils that can trigger flares.

Can I use this on my baby?
For babies under 12 months, we recommend our Baby Whip instead — it excludes honey (not recommended for infants under 1 year). For toddlers and older children, Unscented Body Butter is safe.

What's the difference between this and Vanilla Whisper / Golden Haze?
Same five-ingredient base except: Unscented uses chamomile/calendula-infused jojoba (extra-gentle), and contains no scent at all. Vanilla Whisper has a soft vanilla scent. Golden Haze has a bright, uplifting scent. If your skin reacts to fragrance, choose Unscented.

How long does one tin last?
With daily all-over body use, expect 2-3 months. With targeted use (hands, elbows, eczema patches), 4-6+ months.
