ALL WHEELSETS USE:

Hubs: DT Swiss 350 28H/28H

Spokes: Sapim CX-Ray

Nipples: Sapim Polyax Secure Lock, Brass, 14 mm

Standard builds use Straight Pull Centrelock hubs.

Dynamo builds use J-Bend 6-bolt hubs.

Moulded spoke hole technology allows us to reinforce the spoke hole and nipple bed area yet reduce the bulk of unnecessary material in between spoke holes. The result is a light rim, with no compromise on strength.

Chunky Hookless Bead

We’ve increased the impact strength of our hookless rims by widening the Dirt Hoops hookless bead with a chunky 5mm foundation.

Tubeless Ready

Tubeless tyres for bicycles have been one of the greatest improvements to overall ride quality and reliability. Setting your Dirt Hoops up tubeless will help reduce pinch flats and punctures, decrease rolling resistance and increase control.

DT Swiss hubs & Sapim CX-Ray spokes

Our favourite hub/spoke combination, the DT Swiss 350 Centre Lock Straight Pull hub and Sapim CX-Ray Aero Bladed spoke. It is a fine example of a balance between weight, reliability and performance when paired with Curve rims. This combination has proven itself time and again under the harshest conditions and treatment, we can throw at it.

What else?

Dirt Hoops wheelsets arrive tubeless-ready, with tubeless rim tape, valves and centre-lock rotor lockings. Simply install tubeless-ready tyres, sealant and inflate with a tubeless floor pump (In most cases a compressor is unnecessary). Then go ride!

FAQs

What tyres can I run?

So many choices! A 25 mm internal rim typically works well within a range of tyre sizes from 28 mm - 50 mm. A 30mm internal rim typically works well within a range of tyre sizes from 50 mm and beyond. Some narrower tyres on wider rims will square off too much, and some wider tyres on narrower rims will fold and squirm due to lack of sidewall support.

Which Rim Width Should I Pick?

If you're after a Gravel wheel and don't see yourself running a tyre larger than 45 mm, go for the "Wide 35" version (25mm internal).

If your riding is a bit more chunky gravel or XC and you're looking to run tyres 45 mm and beyond, we recommend to go for the "Wider 40" (30mm internal) version.

Why brass nipples?

Although brass nipples are slightly heavier than alloy nipples, they are far less likely to suffer corrosion and premature failure. They are durable, serviceable and ideal for extended usage

Can I customise the build?

Definitely. Dirt Hoops are available as a rim-only option. You can then configure your wheels any way you want. As long as your hubs of choice are 28h.

Why only 28h?

We believe 28h is ideal for most off-road applications. Through a custom build, you can obtain a competitive lightweight XC configuration up to super robust expedition strength wheels.

What tyre pressure to run?

We get this question a lot!

Follow the guide on your tyre and have fun experimenting +/- a few PSIs for feel. The tyre should feel responsive, provide ample grip and be hard enough to not bottom out the tyre on the rim on rocky terrain. Lighter riders can afford to run slightly lower pressures, whereas heavier riders should err towards recommended pressures. Narrower (low volume) tyres will need to be run at higher pressures than higher volume tyres.

That said, we do not recommend exceeding 35psi for any tyre that would be suitable for this rim.

No assembly required
Color: Light Beige, Size: 6-Panel
Absolutely love this! Arrived in a timely manner and it’s very versatile. Blocks the light on our porch on a hot day. Very durable and stable product. The color was as expected and there is no assembly required.

Looks ok if you don't look too close. Not likely to last long.
Color: Light Beige, Size: 6-Panel, Color: Light Beige, Size: 6-Panel
Got here fast, which was great since our company "upgraded" its video conferencing software and virtual backgrounds no longer work. But I can only describe the item as rickety and sloppily built. See photos: visible gaps in the weave that show the frame through. Chewed up screws in the hinges look like someone took them out and put them back in several times... or salvaged them from another unit. On the whole, it doesn't seem sturdy. I'll be folding it up and re-deploying it several times a week, so I'll be surprised if it will still stand up in a year. Not a good value for the price, really, except that demand on these right now has prices pushed upward. I'd be happy enough if I'd spent $39.99 rather than over a hundred.

Good product, poor directions.
Color: Black, Size: B-88''W-4 Panel
The quality of the product was better than most at this price. The directions could have been much better even though I have an engineering background.

Nice partition for my basement
Color: Beige, Size: B-102''-3 Panel
This 3-panel room divider showed up well-packaged with all the parts and even a little tool for putting it together. The instructions were easy to follow, and while one person can definitely assemble it, having two makes it quicker and less frustrating. It does exactly what I needed—gives quick, easy coverage in an open area. I'm using it in my basement to hide the furnace and water heater, and it works great for that. It looks nice overall, but I picked the beige fabric (which is really more of a tan), and the black frame makes it stand out more than I’d like. A white or lighter frame would’ve blended better. Not sure that I would use it anywhere besides the basement It’s lightweight and pretty sturdy. The wheels make it easy to move, but it does get a bit wobbly, and the panel clips need to be readjusted every time you roll it somewhere new. Still, for the price, it’s a solid buy. I’m happy with it and planning to order another one.

Fantastic
Color: Beige, Size: A-132''W-6 Panel
I am perennially in the process of rearranging, reorganizing, getting ready for yard sales, changing the functions of various rooms, moving everything out of a room to do a deep clean, etc, which means that there is always SOME part of my house, if not the entire thing, that is a disaster zone. Having someone knock on my door triggers a "duck and cover" reflex because it's so embarrassing for anyone to see that I live like this. (I *feel* like I don't, really, because I know that all the various stages are all temporary, but when there's always something temporary going on, it might as well be permanent, you know?) So THANK HEAVENS for a room divider that is not only large enough to divide my uncomfortably long den in half the long way so I can shove all the messy parts up against the back wall -- that is not only simple and attractive and neutral and (this is important) NOT BLACK because I have multiple pets and anything black in this house will be pet-hair-colored within 20 seconds -- that not only has **SIX** panels for lots of options of how I want to divide the space/s -- but is also on WHEELS. Someone out there really does love me, it's true! The panels are stable *enough* - I'm not going to lie and say that nothing is going to knock them over, because I have some balance issues, and I also have cats, and both of those circumstances has resulted in a mess on at least one occasion. But in the cats' defense, they've never dealt with a room partition that didn't hang from the ceiling before; and in my defense, I just grabbed the first thing I could reach on the way down. Not the product's fault in either case. Assembly was a little dicey as I am currently in **bilateral** (oh yes, that's fun) wrist braces, so I had to give up until I had help. But I think if you're able-bodied, you shouldn't have any difficulty. The only down side is, now that I've hidden away all the mess so I can break out the holiday decorations, you know what happens next, right?? That's right... the PERMA-MESS ZONE. Oh no. Oh well.
